I am beginning to think that chanting 'It's coming home' every time we enter a tournament is jinxing our chances of ending sixty years of hurt. Consequently, I believe we should ban both that phrase and the song 'Three Lions' for this upcoming competition; it might actually work, as the universe operates in ways beyond our comprehension. I have heard that Glenn Hoddle attempted to ban the song from the England dressing room in 1998 at the behest of Eileen Drewery, the famed England massage therapist and the Sun's greatest horoscope reader. The fact that she never burned up or caught fire while working at the Sun, England's star newspaper, is undoubted proof that Drewery possessed powers from beyond.
