The Insane Biology of: The Saltwater Crocodile

Video Overview & Insights

Get a lifetime or yearly membership to Nebula here:

Lizzie, one of the crocodiles featured in this video filmed by David White, was recently illegally killed. They found her butchered and they never found out who did it. She was a caring mother and a vital part of her ecosystem. Murdering animals for absolutely no reason makes you a pathetic monster.

David White wrote:

In loving memory of the most beautiful soul and Queen of the Daintree, Lizzie. May you rest in peace, for 26 years you were there for me and I miss you so very much. May your memory live on in your children for they were your greatest gift.

I met a murderer in prison that was from Australia. He did time there for dismembering junkies that overdosed n died in shooting galleries then fed them to 'salties' out in the wilderness.

He said since ppl dont really look for mia junkies too hard that he was probably nearing 100 when caught.

Bears. Bears are more frightening to me than Crocs

I personally love how intelligent they are. People underestimate "animals" as though we are not just another species in the end.

Lotta animals been around longer than us. We are a blip in our planet's history 💖And I LOVE that

Those long legged ones have a high ground clearance like a 4x4 Jeep . They are probably great on rough terrain .

If crocs were as widespread as dogs and bees I'm pretty sure they'd kill more people and nobody would dare wander down the street.

Why is she lying about Crocs having bullet proof skin yet guns are the only way they are killed. I have seenman eating Crocs killed with bullets over here in Uganda so stop lying, it's the only way authorities take them out

They are The Reptiles Apex top predator. And they the most dangerous predator for humans or any any animal in their enviroment, no Natural Predators, only Humans as predators of Salt waters. I think people should be banned from teasing crocodiles with food at the end of sticks.

It is all these sensitive people on YT that cause this. It is becoming a political stance now! It was the same reason why Elon bought Twitter to do away from an agenda! There I said it for you!! I remember National Geographic on public TV!! This is so stupid!!!!

Who on earth UNDERESTIMATES CROCODILES!?

@nw42
@

4:33 and yet the government protects them and don't keep their numbers low! We were so close to having them extinct then some liberals protected them. Bummer!

@speedinfast1k
@

I mean they have been around almost unchanged for millions of years, nature rarely goes so long with barely any evolution. There have been a few "niche" species of crocadalia but in general crocs and alligators as we know them today have barely changed in 120 million years. Not just us (homo sapiens sapiens) but hominoids in general have been around a couple of 6-7 million years and supposedly it's only the last 200,000 years that we've had higher thought and the intelligence enough to develop language and writing and eventually develop towns and cities etc. Nature knows she made a W for any situation with Crocs

24:00 I have Anoles, a baby anole ate a mealworm which is usually considered adult food. I was amazed by this,as it makes care so much easier. I think this smell before the hatching phenomenon could be a reason why.

Yesterday had a 1800LB pallet dropped off, it was 7ft tall and 4ft sq.

It was only 1800 pounds…. I think a crocodiles bite force is 6-7,000 pounds per square inch…..

I couldn’t even fathom the pallet falling on my leg, imaging 3x the weight biting down on ur leg holy smokes! You have no chance

@DirtBikeDocs
@

Orcas have the strongest bite force of any animal.
