@josemarbI will say one thing about Netflix. They sure do produce some amazing looking movies. Can't wait to see this one. I only wish they would start releasing some of these movie in physical format because they would sell like hotcakes!

@emanueloliveira7997Halifax towing a Horsa, someone got an actual historian to consult on the film. Anyway, the Dutch didn't need guns to resist Germans. The language and the food sufficed.

@S-WS-lx2hmThis great movie has been referred as a "Dutch version of 'Dunkirk'". I would say that it has more in common with the Estonian war film "1944". In that movie Estonians who fought on opposing sides, both in the Waffen SS and the Red Army, come face-to-face. "The Forgotten War" shows both the Dutch resistance and the collaborators. While most Dutch the German occupation, there were those working for the Germans, and those Dutchmen in the Waffen SS.

@MubinShaikh-qv7noThe most truthful and honest film about the war in the West was made only once, and that was "When Trumpets Fade." Everything else is pretentious, pseudo-patriotic crap, bearing no relation to reality other than the general background and image.
And this despite the fact that the Americans, like all Anglo-Saxons, like to understate their losses in all wars by several times.
