The ENTIRE History of Greece (Documentary)
Video Overview & Insights
In the shadowed embrace of two towering cliffs, a small band of warriors chose to face impossible odds. Three hundred Spartans, led by the indomitable King Leonidas, stood against the might of Persia's vast army at the Battle of Thermopylae. In this craggy passage, every shield clash and battle cry echoed defiance and an unwavering commitment to their homeland. It was a dance of audacious bravery against overwhelming numbers. But what if I told you this stand of the few against the many was but a chapter in a saga much grander? A story of a land steeped in glory and tainted by conflict? Welcome to the turbulent history of Greece.

👎🏻 and “do not recommend channel” for the use of “BCE” and “CE.” Pretty sad and really makes you pause to question the credibility of the video when uploader discards thousands of years of…. HISTORY just to virtue signal. Won’t watch a video from this channel.

The term 'BCE' is Christianophobic. Can I suggest that all bigoted attutudes are wrong + the only person offended by AD/BC are those taught prejudice attitudes against our own past culture?

More User Perspectives
Greece & the Greek people are among the privileged few sole survivors of a World History which has devastated many other peoples, erased many nations from our maps, and has always stood as an example for new empires to copy, but nobody can successfully duplicate everything Greek has done throughout their history. To wallow in ones misery is a period of self healing & a time of recognition of what works? ...& what fails? Failure is a learning curve & a process of eliminating that which continues to fail. Success is also a learning curve of discoveries done by others or, if you're lucky, discovered by yourself, & capitalized upon sharing these discoveries among your people & exporting these discoveries among those in our world willing to pay for it. This is the very backbone of any long lasting empire which has proven itself time & time again to be essential for any political government which depends on a robust economy to remain stable during low periods & grow stronger during high periods, not by conquering but rather by watching others copy you & see you as the one people who deserve to sit upon the pedestal of history in which history alone makes Greece more powerful than the strongest empires today simply can not be, because they have survived the hands of time that only China & India can argue have endured longer ... but who out there has copied either one of those two & duplicated a great empire? Even Japan had to copy & duplicate Western culture in order to become a short lived brutal empire & transform into an economic empire to regain trust & respect & that didn't come from China or India, their success proves Greece as being on top of the pedestal that represents planet Earth.
@cme98Nice compilation...shame that it had to be tarnished by yet more AI narration crap...seriously, is it that hard to find someone who know how to be a narrator?
@joe-55xhow you know it's AI script:
annals
profound
not only
merely
AI-slop
@JPWickThe pronunciations though.. wtf?! 😂
@patricksrensen7952IT IS B.C.&A.D. YOUR Dating IS BASED ON B.C.&A.D. THE. GREGORIAN CALENDAR IS THE MOST ACCURATE IN THE WORLD!!!
@georgebefanis680Do you know what happens when a narrator chooses BCE and CE as the politically correct way to describe our BC/AD timeline? I just stop watching on the spot, and just go on to watch something else.
@nikosnikos1Proud to be Hellenic citizen
@savvasmarkos2312Hellas have brought to the world civilization and democracy
@savvasmarkos2312Why is there a picture of Skenderbeg, the Albanian hero, depicted as greek uprising? And also a Paja Jovanovic's painting (Albanians with traditional costumes) being described as greek revolts? Stick to the facts that not all people under byzantine rule were Greeks. There were serbs, albanians, greeks, romans, etc. And also, being orthodox does not translate to being greek automatically.
@ortodoc1868BRO THIS SERIES NEEDS MORE MARKETING ITS AMAZING
@cwpv2477Greek ancient history is the amazing history of the world, love watching it and learning how Greeks artifacts, science, politics, temples, arts, libraries, beautiful statues in the world mythology and other achievements gave to the world..I think mythology of gods went all the to India also…hopefully one day I would like to visit Greece..
@neenaobhrai273Ottoman Greece 🇹🇷🇹🇷
@secondmahmudI enjoyed the video but I found the mispronunciations very distracting. Perhaps the audio track was AI generated? But that would not explain the repeated "Kornith" when "Korinth" was spelled correctly.
@KonstantinosAndrosSome of the most awful AI I’ve ever seen .
@Sunluvr1It is very ambitous and recommendable that you try to make such a video but the amount of AI nonsense and false pictures (showing Roman senate pictures for the Boulé for example) makes the video very bad. I would love you to make a new, corrected version of the video where the nonsense is gone and you use some real source material.
@arcanios8061:24 The genocide of 3 million civilians (Greeks, Assyrians, Armenians) by Turkey should be mentioned as it proceeded the population exchange.
@sallycoop935This is not the history of Greece it’s a small part of history of Greece !!! Greece has huge history since thousands years ago
@johnnakoulas1274Po s'kish grecc para 3 mij vjet o milet
@afrimbeneti533By "History of Greece" you mean only the last 195 years since 1830 right? Because there was no "Greece" or a country known as "Greece" prior to that. Public, factual knowledge..
Independent city states?? That's another story altogether no matter how hard they try to convince you otherwise..
There is NO "ancient Greece", just as there is NO "ancient Italy" when referring to the Romans, Venetians, Florentines etc..
People need to STOP with this "ancient Greece" nonsense because there is no such place.. It is a modern country less than 200 years old..
Greece can fall any day,the debt is high.
@novemberajax9234AH AH AH Even Mycenean were not "Greeks" !!!! They settled in south greece, coming from north, beyond the "greek" world, maybe from Macdonia region or from Vinca civilisation !!!! They just settled in peloponese , mixed with autochtonous people and minoans, but were not greeks originaly !!!
@zazazazizizi6276AND THE GREEKS SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!❤
@nickbadabingnorth makedonians are maad 😂😂😂
@nikolaychernakov1462I guarantee you had Alexander looked west instead of east Rome would've smacked that ass.
@garybowlin7707Had to turn off because of the horrible American pronunciation.

@martinavaslovik3433So misterious
@Mirage238The computer voice reading becomes boring and irritating. Needs a proper reading by an educated scholar.
@mr555harvSomeone wrote "Distorting history not only disrespects those who lived through it, but also misleads viewers who may take this portrayal at face value."
@nikpetrovic9122This video has been very informative, keep it up I love Greece and want more videos about Greek History! Thanks so much for this one.❤😊😅

Great video but if you’re going to use the Roman Catholic calendar to describe time use it correct. It is BC not BCE.
