The Dubai Chocolate Trend is Already Over

Video Overview & Insights

Dubai Chocolate is one of those trends that seemingly came out of nowhere, but in the age of the Crumbl cookie it seems anything is possible. From jacked-up prices, crazed overbuying, to false marketing to capitalize on people’s fear of missing out… of course we had to make the video!

I kept seeing it on the shelves and thought about trying it out of curiosity but it was way overpriced. Now they have it reduced to 50p a bar in the bargain shop. 😅. So I bought a few bars. It’s nice but nothing special. Certainly not worth the hype.

I tried it once and found it to be a terribly mediocre treat.

I actually thought this video's title was referring to the trend where models were going to Dubai to play with a different type of chocolate and getting paid large amounts if you know what I mean

It came, it spawned a food safety warning, it landed at Costco, and no one cares now..

If you want to try the GOOD thing made with Kadaiif - make Künefe or look for a turkish place where they have it. Much better...this is the original usage of the filo-pastry pieces.

Are there really people out there who consider the sound of someone's mouth chewing something crunchy while it's open as something pleasant? I immediately smashed the space bar when I saw a mouth on my screen. Now i'm leaving this comment and leaving your video. Never do that again.

Mostly agree with the video but there are moments that are so aggressively american that it's sickening like insulting how the filling looks

This trend is not over at all in Chicagoland. Middle eastern desserts are here to stay in IL and WI and middle eastern coffee shops popping up everywhere in last few years, which is the best place here to get such confections

Dubai Chocolate is nothing but a psyop to distract us from the Doodoo chocolate (porta party) and slavery going on there.

I recently had Dubai chocolate but it made my throat go crazy and make my stomach feel off

Lol, I just bought my first Dubai chocolate bar, a Lindt bar for 99 cents marked down from $6. Lindt makes quality chocolates so if I can buy one for less than a buck then the craze must definitely be over. Anyone know where I can get a crumbl cookie for less than a buck? 😂

I like Dubai chocolate I hope it stays once the hype dies down and goes to an actual reasonable price

I don’t find out about trends until someone on YouTube makes a video about it.. I’m not on social media. I tasted this at a local bakery here in San Antonio and it’s meh at best. I’ll save my $9 and buy a half dozen eggs.

This is why out generation will own nothing, save nothing and be financially destitute. It's because we waste our money on this shit....

I don't want to hear the amount of astronomical sugar there is in this bar.

Thankfully this is not THAT expensive. $20 for a chocolate bar is obscure but out completely out of reach. Buy it, try it, move the fuck on. It's....okay.

@G.reviewz

Dude, I love how this thing tastes. Crispy and rich and sweet >w< But I am NOT going to pay that much for just a little bar that barely has any chocolate :D If I'm paying that much, it better be premium pistachio cream, lots of crunch, lots of chocolate and pistachio sauce, and over fresh large strawberries 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

As a person with misophonia I highly appreciate that chewing warning lmao

We had the same overhype on Krispy Kreme doughnuts a few years ago! I did try those and the Dubai chocolate. Neither impressed me!
