@ronaldkozlowski7204I have the collected works of jim morrison it has poems nobody has seen and alot more its a book brought to life through jims sister anne and she followed his instructions.they found a page in his book note for poetry book and that was like jim given permission to go ahead imagine that reaches his sisters head decades later anyways.its a must for any morrison fan the poetry will blow ur mind make u question reality and so much more philosophical to love youe jim and thank u to the coursons input and andy and restbof morrison families its well worth a buy❤❤❤

@duesenberg1000When I was younger, I wanted to be a poet because of Jim Morrison influences...all I wrote was notthing but crap...I'm 58 YO and I Do remember my uncle smoking weed and getting so freaking high that start running all over our neighbours roofs...It was funny, but who cares...I'm listening to The Doors and that's all it matters to me....

@Angelfeather333CoboIn the end, 'Spanish Caravan' proves it: While Robby Krieger pulls off a mind-blowing flamenco guitar intro (reworking Albéniz's 'Asturias') and Ray Manzarek drops a baroque harpsichord piece that is a literal work of art, Morrison comes in to 'sing' in the most monotonous, flat, and boring way possible. He sounds like a lethargic radio host reading off a script. It’s pathetic! And it completely tears down the fans' cheap excuse with a massive historical truth: the drugs and alcohol thing doesn't wash. In rock history, there are a thousand examples of singers who hit the stage completely wasted and yet still delivered a technical performance that would leave your jaw on the floor. At the end of the day, 'Spanish Caravan' shows that The Doors were three super-talented musicians playing a hell of a game, with one guy standing in the middle just getting in the way.
@alguanoAn analysis with a purist logic that is simply undeniable. Calling a spade a spade. You have to give Morrison a 15% credit because it’s just undeniable mathematical justice. You can't take away what’s his: the guy had the intuition to throw in those exact hums and vocal lines at the perfect moment in 'Break On Through' or 'L.A. Woman.' That’s right there, carved into music history, and it’s his actual contribution to the machine. But going from that to deifying him as the sole creator of The Doors' success is a massive marketing leap. As everyone well knows: anyone can write lyrics, and a mystical tone is just microphone reverb and a bit of attitude, but being Robert Plant, being Ian Gillan, or being Rory Gallagher is a whole different league. There are no smoke and mirrors there; you can't hide behind a character. Either you have the instrument in your blood and the technique to make it roar, or you're out. In the end, you have to separate the wheat from the chaff: On one side, the poster myths like Morrison, who with a 15% real contribution and a lot of theater took 100% of the fame. On the other side, the true gods like Ray Manzarek, who threw themselves into the barn, cooked it up, and ate it almost entirely on their own (in his case, with the help of Krieger and Densmore), reaching the ultimate purity of music without owing a damn thing to anyone.
