Based on Peter Heller’s captivating bestseller, “The Dog Stars” features a critically acclaimed ensemble, including Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong, and Guy Pearce. The screenplay is by Mark L. Smith, based upon the novel by Peter Heller, and the producers are Ridley Scott, p.g.a., Michael Pruss, p.g.a., Mark L. Smith, and Cliff Roberts, p.g.a., with Lily Brooks-Dalton, Brandon Scott Smith, Peter Heller, Aidan Elliott serving as executive producers.

The film tells the story of Hig (Jacob Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exist.

This looks like that british movie. Think its called "dooms day" or something. A virus kills 90% of the country's population. The remaining turn into savages. If i remember correctly, at the end of that movie. The virus escapes England. This looks like it could be a follow on.

This is going to be a good one.

Loved and hated equally the broken personality of Jacob in Euphoria - he nailed it.

Did not watch Whuthering Heights bc although love both main characters and their talent and work, the trailer did not convince me enough about the angle they presented; a bit different from what the core of Bronte's work was in all her books.

Will watch it though, and if still not convinced will have this one to help washing the 'pain' away.

Plus Black Hawk Down is one of my favorite movies - for the story and not for Josh.

I thought this film trailer was that Australian cartoon about dogs in space, then I thought it was about dogs in a post apocalyptic world, then I thought it was dogs fighting zombies in a post apocalyptic world, then I thought it was just zombies, then I thought it was the Crossed comic getting an adaptaion, then I realised I was still wrong and I still don't know what this is

I hope this is the Ridley of old and not recent. Ridley Scott can be very hit or miss for me but I hope this is classic Scott. The trailer is great though

I saw a different trailer for this at the theater last night. It themed Van Morrison music which felt way out of place and distracting. This trailer is better pieced together, but could they have picked a whinier sounding NIN track? I have really been looking forward to this film but these trailers are diminishing my enthusiasm.
