The Difference Between Care & Caring
Video Overview & Insights
This multi award winning video talks about a time of increased demands on our healthcare system and healthcare providers, ensuring that each and every patient and their family members are provided with compassionate care is a massive goal, but one that the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital are pursuing every day. Good quality care is always important, but caring for our patients is what they will really remember.
I'm an Ombudsman - any time I do a training about what we do, I show this video...and cry every.single.time.

@jayceealexyYou guys can't even just do the 'care' part of caring about mentally ill teens, instead you laugh at them, scream at them, lock them in rooms while they scream... "Oh, but we're understaffed" doesn't mean you allow staff to abuse the kids verbally each day.
Maybe if you took the money from the adult sections of the hospital and cared a bit about the kids I wouldn't still be suicidal...
Maybe if my "Psychtraist" that laughed at me while crying got fired, I would feel a little bit better.
Maybe if you didn't have a kid with social anxiety SHARE A ROOM WITH SOMEONE FORCEFULLY (BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE FORCED THERE) Maybe... just maybe I would've gotten actual help.
Btw I have 7-9 years of exposure to social situations and yet you still thought to do that, fucking pricks.
what was the difference
@jcarter7456Good evening, i'm here to listen about health and social care by a role model 🙂 I believe I will study Health, Social Care & Children's & Young People's Settings, as well as Preparing To Work in Adult or Children Social Care, and I'm here before the academic year has started to prepare myself to be great in class. My aim is to be in a very good support environment and produce ideal course work. I want to go into a caring profession and I have a skill for delicious nutritious food.
I want to combine catering with health and social care and work experience in a care home facility , a hospital facility or a school or nursery facility. and I want to have days in arts and crafts for wellbeing. I like to read and will happily read books to patients and residents. I want an ideal work placement to show care. I want to help the patients smile.
I want to provide non clinical support to patients and staff. To do this I want to achieve an equivalent to a high school diploma. I had a go at customer service and I tried my best consistently. I like to listen, to exchange stories.
Have a lovely morning, day, evening and night 🙂
Thank you
Our hospital automatically places relatives/spouses together in ward rooms.
@aprilcooper7126But seriously, how many people have to watch this movie during a presentation or orientation?
@TK-oy4ovAnyone know the name of this song or where to find sheet music?
@cglandoIt occurs to me while watching this, everyone who meets a patient, from the EMT,, to the care team, to the hospice provider should look at a patient, look at their ID bracelet and say, "Someday someone may be looking at me this way. I want them to see ME and hear ME!"
@chanieweiss4288Just on here trying to find some good videos to share with our preceptor team and came across this gem. I'll need to touch up my makeup to cover my now tear-streaked face, though. Well done.
@TwotammerI will do anything I humanly possibly do for my patients. The most rewarding career.
@NurseNess777This video reinforces the need for nurses to continue striving for caring. In our profession as nurses, we are constantly faced with new challenges and situations. Even when times are challenging, we must remain committed to providing the highest quality care possible for our patients. We must keep pushing and never give up on our patients. The care we give to others will always be a keepsake in their hearts. We must never forget the power of compassion and the importance of providing support to our patients. We must keep striving for excellence and remain dedicated to helping those in need.
@CFWomenOver60SecondAwakeningI would have made the same arrangements.

@raymondularan6469wow, so powerful. it's hard not to cry watching this. My dad died about a year ago. I am so grateful for all the healthcare staff who took care of him in his final hours. They are true heroes to me. Sometimes angels walk among us. I am so grateful for their compassion and dedication.
