The Darrell Brooks Show

Video Overview & Insights

A look at the trial of Darrell Brooks, as well as some of the fringe schools of thought that underpinned some of the arguments he attempted to present.

Phew, I’m back! Sorry for the extra long wait. This guy was just a lot to slog through and figure out what to say about - but I hope you enjoy the final product :)

If you’re wondering what that quick “creator commentary” comment in the Patreon plug is about, it’s something I just started trying on the paytch where I watch old vids back like a DVD commentary - Available to all tiers. First one on Justin Ross Harris was well received and I’ll be going through the rest of the catalogue over time.

I can't help but wonder how this moron would have acted if the judge was a no bullshit, 250 pound monster who doesn't take nonsense from anyone. I'm sure it would have been a little different.

It’s a little obscure but in specific circumstances a judge can void a jury’s verdict in cases where the guilt or innocence of the defendant is so glaring obvious that no reasonable jury would not acquit someone that is so obviously innocent based on the evidence and testimony presented during the trial, and visa versa where the evidence is so overwhelmingly damning that there is no reason doubt as to the guilty of the defendant. So I Brooks’ case if the jury came back with not guilty the judge could make a ruling to toss out the jury verdict and convict him. Other examples going the other way would be the Rittenhouse trial. The evidence the defense present and testimony of witnesses objectively supported Rittenhouse’s self defense plea that no reasonable jury without a political bias would convict him of murder, and the judge could have thrown out the guilty verdict. Now luckily in both cases the jury absolutely were reasonable and came out with the correct verdicts. But yeah, in certain circumstances a judge can disregard the jury’s verdict. They can’t just do it on a whim, there has to be an objective evidentiary basis for doing so.

@58:22 That’s not the look of remorse after hearing the injuries young children sustained because of his actions. That is the look of Darrell realizing he never should have called that mother as a witness because the jury was just reminded of what a terrible person Darrell is and the suffering he inflicted upon dozens of families and their children.

Actually in America the government doesn’t bestow the rights upon the citizens. The Rights are actually inherent and the Constitution is actually a document outlining what the Government CAN’T do more than what the people CAN do.

The Articles of Confederation, which the woman in that video at the beginning just spouts off about was actually replaced by The Constitution in 1789 when the united States of America became the United States of America when the federal government and its three branches: The Legislature, Executive, and Judicial Beanches, were established. Which means the Articles of Confederation have been completely irrelevant for 237 years. The laws and Rights don’t actually conflict at all, unless we’re talking about Gun Rights but that’s a separate issue, it’s just Sovereign Citizens are too stupid to actually do research on the Articles of Confederation no longer applying.

Kathleen Yourell has incredible poise to sit there and speak in such a civil manner to the man responsible for hurting her babies. 10/10 for her, I don't think I could have done what she did.

His demeanor of walking over the judges statements, constant interruptions, it's sad how that's such a normal thing now, you watch any video from back in the day and people even in debates calmly discussed things, let the other person talk, nowadays it's so normalized to just interrupt and immediately undercut and shove in your statement instead of waiting for the other person to finish
It's like when RLM covered next gen where Picard calmly debates the alien leader contrasted with modern debates of petulant, loud bickering and how it's so sad society has gotten so immature
Thankfully there's still figures with decorum and tact, but being a loud, egomaniacal sociopathic rambling nutjob is now the default

17:20 Keep in mind that in Brooks world, murder is not a chargeable offense. See, to him, you can only be charged if you can face your accuser. And since we, as a society, still frown upong the idea of dragging a dead body into a courtroom and sitting it up in the witness box, then if you kill someone you cant face your accuser ergo, no charges and murder is not a crime.
Yeah, thats how stupid the trial got. And, hot take here, unpopular take, i think Judge Dorow was absolutely horrible.

5:08 if it wasn't clear already from the cover, looking into it the title 4 flag shwag book is a blatant parody, even had a chapter on ninja babies, but like flat earthers these people are so dumb they treat it as gospel

I don’t think he realized how patient the judge in the district attorney was with him the fact that one of them went over and helped him. It’s just crazy, but this guy is just so self delusional that he had no idea how good he had it with that judge in those other prosecutors, I wonder if he would’ve done this if it was a male judge.

@jmono1006

Brooks: "I'm not Stupid!"
Judge Dorow: "I disagree with that, sir!"
