๐๏ธ Directorโs Statement
โAt its heart, this film has a simple theme: you need to give 100% of yourself to your craft. Like Brit, Iโve often wondered if I could succeed in such a tough, unforgiving industry. This film is for anyone balancing bills with big dreams.โ
Such a rash decision is never the answer. She should have thought of the risks too...besides her ill, helpless mother.

Why would he trash her work? I'm thinking the last thing you would do is destroy the stuff the person you love, loved. I don't care what the circumstances.

I don't know but i feel like Brit knew what she was doing. Maybe she wasn't faking her death. She had an ill mother and was suffering financially...Couldn't it be possible that she was dreading an escape and actually wanted to die?

So they watched her go into the sea and then walked offโฆdidnโt they notice sheโd got into difficulty? Itโs this that ruined it for meโฆ

oh, Sadness - your woes as you pursue into the unknown ... there is but nought to pursue ... "Be Still ..." (That is how deeply i may say thank Youse for this movie xxx the waves that come in from the huge gravity of it all does need me to be a calm shoreline, however silly i may seem)
@RaineCarosinExcellent movie but sad that artists and others ARE often only famous after they die. However, it was selfish of her to involve her friends in her plan. Even if she had survived, they would have had to "lie" to the police.
@michelleives6344OMG. I'm depressed and all the videos that Iโve been watching are sad. Itโs like the algorithm knows meโฆ
This is a very, very good film
one of those BS woke movie.
@DenaGreer-fm4jxThank you ๐๐๐
@suebradford5758This short film is a piece of ART โค
@CraftsmenFilmProductionBrit wasn't painting for any other reason than to make money.
She could have pursued her art while still holding down a job.
The plan to fake her death to make her work more valuable was cynical and manipulative.
She would do better working for a gallery.Hyping art to the public was her real talent.
Her paintings were mediocre.
As an AI researcher, one of the things I am most worried about is AI models replacing creatives. We should build AI responsibly. Have them automate repetitive tasks not as an option or alternatives to creatives. Any thing created especially by an LLM is not truly new or creative it is simply sampled out of all that it has been fed
@godswilldave9263Bad low quality!
@gentianvandewerken929Exquisite.
@katrinakole2077Ever since I discovered Max Richter I notice now lol
@katrinakole2077Who did the music? Pkease.
@katrinakole2077Accomplished!
@Paul-dorsetukMakes me wonder if she really intended to come back.
@MarblesEdnaI think she committed suicide. Life just wasn't worth it anymore.
@VetteX57Wonderful and sad too ,God the great creator ,bless all people who create art ,its a gift from him and you and whilst you are painting you are pleasing him and you are free of any problems if only temporari.y ,๐
@steventyreman3642This is what capitalism does.
@annedinan8749Well done. As a painter, I have felt these things..
@thedawneffectThis was so well made and relatable in so many ways. So glad that it came to my attention on YT.
@monowarabegum2954This days to keep a good attention for 15 minutes, represents an eternity. Brilliant work.
@lasedadelsilencioWow
@megancarrollIt's a inconceivable that an artist does not feel valuable unless their art is valued.... I consider myself an artist... Have sold a few works when I needed to so I could pay for necessities....otherwise I don't care if no one even sees my work.... I paint because I have to.... I must create.... I breath creativity.... I believe the guy loved her... He had no idea a creative person cannot exist without creating..... Doing a nine to five doesn't allow a person much room to be creative... I can't have a work schedule.... So I swapped money for being creative.... I've moved so many times I can hardly count... In a tent, car, camper etc.... I Love my freedom .... You are an artist despite others opinion.... This broke my heart....๐ฐ
@rolflaprete1849This is insanely good.
It makes me think about some of the rubbish that we watch on streaming services and things like this just go totally under the radar. I miss proper art!!
No way that easel would remain standing in the face of that gale with a stonking great square-rigged canvas propped at the top, even with a couple of half-hearted stomps of its feet into the sand.
@B_RupheBritt traumatized her friends, that guy especially ๐ข
@DivineMessagesFromBeyondDya think that rip was where she died. Never swim in black water.
@MsAlien911The painting is beautiful. Too bad tragedy sells
@debbiefaithwalker9777Heart breaking story. We live in a cruel society. Extremely depressing.
@MercedesGalleseThank you.
@knightofthesun1738I'm a 74-year-old artist with hundreds of great paintings. I quit selling them as artists are treated horribly. I found this movie very moving.
@JustinsDreamArtThere you go . Have a story !
@ZofishanbintnoonShe seems so into herself that she can't see what she is putting others through. Selfish
@jean4186That gallery woman is full of sh...
@pascalgrinberg5530The Darkest Blue - look at the painting 'unveiled' at the very end.
3 dark dots not far from shore. Imo, the 3 'friends' drowned her.
Their cover up story was that she wanted to 'fake her own death'.
Imo, she did know that her worth would be more if she wasn't alive, and so did the 'friends'.
One of those friends did actually care, and therefore destroyed all of her work knowing that she was indeed dead.
But, one painting was left - and that was 'not for sale' because the artist knew what her friends were planning - and it provided proof.
The ignorant language is unnecessary.. put me off immediately.
@Sunny25611This grabbed me. 8-(
@FollowTheJohnNot a good show to people who might be thinking of suicide.
