5:22 I think that the tune Jasmine plays on the oud could be a song that was some sort of lullaby 'used' (is that the right word for this situation?) throughout the country/kingdom and that most people/children of Agrabah know it, so that's why Aladdin recognises it. iI definitely don't hope they're siblings tho... that would be weird considering their love story😳

I don't know where I got it from but my head cannon for them knowing the same song is that the Sultana visited the slums and would sing a song to the children sometimes. Young Aladdin would like it so much that his mother would sing it to him too.

@juliarenaud530I was an orphaned Jasmine, growing up where no one shared my name. I did notice the tragic loss + absent mothers/parent/loved one in Disney films growing up. I was drawn to watch the comedy ones, my grandparents had young Kurt Russel, Jodie Foster, Fred MacMurray, Jan Michael Vincent, Disney movies.
When my niece was very young she actually thought this Jasmine + all of the movies, dolls, plush toys, tshirts, and anything involving this story was tied to me! A child's mind🧚+ Disney 👸have made this Jasmine larger than life in my niece's eyes. 👀

@richardfrazier5436This is so embarrassing. The producers are anti arab (Ishmealite) bc why would they have european Indian aka Naomi, play a bronze tan skin , black haired, dark brown eyed Ishmealite (arab)? And they look absolutely nothing alike. Make it, make sense.

@cosettelewallen4281Aladdin’s mom could have been Jasmine’s Aunt or a servant of some kind to Jasmine’s Mother brought with her from Shehrebah and when she died/ was killed the servant was turned out of the palace/ lost her position or left her position due to grief. If she was Jasmine’s Aunt, she could have died due to sickness before or after Jasmine’s mom died leaving Aladdin to raise himself somehow.
