and they do this to us, after we paid that much for the game! (This game was really expensive... compare it to other games that really deserve it like Gran Turismo or Cyberpunk 2077 !)

The only good thing here is the player base will be so upset, that this will have an impact (EA-hate on a new level.. this was really too much. I guess some people will even stop playing). So maybe we see some improvements in the future (but sometimes I feel EA really gives a f..... there are bugs in this game that are >6 years old! and instead of fixing they give us new every year)

What an absolute joke. I understand the thought process from a business standpoint but to give the ftp such a massive hill to climb just to get one ....basically saying you need to buy packs just to do it is enough for me to not buy this game again....

Yo quick story. I was playing Wildcard yesterday just before 1:00 p.m. eastern time. Finish my last game with a victory to get to level 12 and earn my final 5 collectible pack. The game did not count and I didn't receive my collectibles! Wildcard resets apparently at 1:00 p.m.! Not @ 5pm? The outdoor season event was still live till 5:00 p.m. the trade-in sets were still available to make, etcetera. But Wildcard was reset. I could not believe it! I had to burn an extra 87 overall to make the final card I was interested in making. Just another way Ea can screw you😢

I gave up over a month ago I’m done with HUT back to playing versus or other games! HUT is just a job level grind or a really expensive hobby$$$$$$$$ grinding is boring as fuck!

I am blowing up my team to get a TOTY. I am a regular player make it on enough to finish team of the week early and then stay above average time on the game throughout the week.

That being said you must have enough fodder to get one of these with blowing up like my team will be lol.

Hey Sleeves, any idea if the abilities will also upgrade at some point in time? I understand the overall of the card will go up with future releases, but if a 99 McDavid only has 2 blue abilities idk if its all that great...

Glad I decided to go the theme team route and eventually just stopped playing. This game has gone downhill so quickly since this new content team took over. Hockey is my favorite sport but I refuse to support whatever this game is.

I wish they had a way to trade in your TOTY collectibles for packs or something because there is no point in even trying to participate in the event if you know you can't make enough collectibles. On the bright side you will easily be able to tell who spends money on the game whenever you match up against somebody with any TOTY players on their team which is always interesting to me. For the amount of people who say they are no money spent, I sure see a lot of people with teams that are obviously obtained by opening up their wallets.

its not about the cards or cost, last year had the worst game play ever, they hardly touched it and u guys went out and bought the game this year is crazy work. well u buy this trash, this is the shit u deal with. me ive played since the 90's last year was so bad decided to stop buying this shit game i suggest u guys do to. its the only way we can stop the shit show...........

My Ignited player is bleepin' Silovs. Played some moments to get a skater and Faber forgot how to connect on a one timer and EA forgot how to score a one time shot. I put the controller down very slowly, turned off the TV, and walked away. Very disappointing.

It also went up to 35 collectibles, I don't see 34 rn

This is brutally expensive, these cards are not worth playing for to let go of an entire team and then some in order to aquire said toty cards, skipping. Ea is money hungry AF!!

I cant afford a new phone or new shoes while my current pair all have holes and EA is trying to get me to spend $100 on a pack 😂, last time I ever pre order the game or buy it day 1

Such a disappointment. I’m totally willing to shell out some cash, but these odds for the costs are simply not worth it. I’m going to go the route of DISENGAGEMENT with TOTY, hopefully others follow and EA takes note. They shattered the event I MOST look forward to and now I’m not giving them a dime for it.

They purposefully released the event today so all the free to play players like myself who thought it was coming end of January wouldn't get to use all the ranked pack rewards when next season starts, thats how greedy they are this year that they purposefully calculate that so people are forced to spend money. This year has been the greediest i have ever seen a video game get and I think I might be done with this game. Been able to make toty every year except now.

Every Year I was able to make almost all TOTY Players. Free to Play. Just Grinded the game daily. And this year The fact that rewards are nerfed, Rewards system isnt as close as previous years Im not able to build 1 of these TOTY. With a total of 780k coins collected since launch. This sucks. And im not spending a dollar for these

Never commented on a video before, but yeah they have officially ruined the game. The last 2 weeks have been absolutely miserable just spam playing teams that swipe the credit card and have fantilli, mcdavid etc. and now ones that have chara, hamilton, housley, mcdavid, hall.

salary cap does nothing but annoying FTP players and has become a non issue for card swipers.

this is so disgusting the EA team should honestly be ashamed of this,i mean last year everyone at least was able to make 2 toty i almost made 3 last year this year i can’t even make one unless i pull out my debit card and spend over a 100$ it’s ridiculous an honestly it’s INSANE

its pretty fucking lame that we don't have an option to make atleast one toty for free with collectibles through objectives, i don't think thats ever happened before in previous HUT's.

They need to start using 90+ or 88+, instead of overall locking collectible sets. If I have no 90s but lots of 91s, I should be able to use the 91s. It's stupid af the way it is this year.

Also, another event, and another absolute lack of decent flames players. No theme teams for Calgary fans. Bunch of trash devs

Honestly if I can make a TOTY in the second set, great, but I’m not burning all my cards for it since last year the TOTY cards didn’t upgrade nearly fast enough

They need to add something to use the toty collectibles for us poor folks were gonna have 16 just rotting away all year at these prices

One thing I hope for in Season 3 is there are at least 1 line combination for all past events, like the Beast Mode or Fresh Ice events. Why not use those lower overalls if we want

At this point, it’s absolutely impossible to participate and keep up with the releases. Completely unattainable to someone who has job, family, and a LIFE
