The whole โdeposit flightโ argument is ridiculous. It basically admits that banks donโt respect a free market. If customers choose to move their capital from banks into stableโcoin yield products, thatโs their right โ theyโre participants in the marketplace. The market decides. If banks want to prevent people from reallocating their own money, then we donโt actually have a free market at all.
Itโs nonsense. Iโm genuinely surprised anyone in banking can say โdeposit flightโ out loud without realizing how foolish it sounds.
Our response shouldnโt be, โWell, itโs unlikely customers will do that.โ The real question we should be asking is, why banks believe theyโre entitled to override the choices of the free market, regardless of the outcome.

The White House already showed willingness to make a deal on the conflict of interest issue. Pro-bank lobby senate democrats must learn how to make a deal to benefit over 60 m American crypto holders. In addition, they should know that there are already over 100 guardrails in the clarity act to protect investors.
Now that White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt and GOP sponsors have crafted an updated text accommodating conflict-of-interest provisions, the leverage has shifted. If moderate Democrats continue to filibuster the bill on the Senate floor this week, they can no longer claim they are protecting the public from a loophole; instead, they will be forced to defend why they chose to stall a bill that provides safety and legitimacy to millions of everyday American investors.

Crypto is risky, as many would say, but I think the real risk is not understanding the market. Buying during fear isn't the hard partโknowing what to do after is. I got into crypto in 2019 but sold in 2020 because I didn't understand it, i acted based on emotions. So I took time to learn, study the market, and improve. Got back into crypto in early 2023 with $10k, and I made it up to around $128k in a relatively short time. Patience and knowledge makes all the difference.

@elsmodeloThe future of sound money is here. Because you cannot print litecoin (LTC), it is a huge step towards de-dollarization. Even though Litecoin (LTC) is not a fork of btc with a different mining protocol,a it is the second oldest coin on the market, after bitcoin. Since its invention and implementation in 2011, Both ltc and btc have a fixed supply of coins: 84 million in the case of litecoin, and 21 million in case of bitcoin. Only that litecoin is lighter, faster, and hugely undervalued against bitcoin. Bitcoin is an investment of the kings, and litecoin is the money of gentlemen. Do the world a favor: sell U.S. Treasury debts immediately and buy litecoins instead.
