I don't believe at this theory ! That energy disappear!
If it does it must recreate in one way or another ! And in somewhere! If this theory is correct the universe will dissapear in the form we know today !
I believe that a oart can be conserved and a part cannot ! But it certainly doesn't disappear!but ut certainly is , will be somewhere and when we talk about energy conservation it is always referred to a clised or limited system taken into consideration!

So this is how I understand it (correct me) since the universe is expanding and accelerating, when you throw the rock it will stop because relative to us it is now the same speed as the expansion because it accelerated by same speed the rock initially started with?

I do not agree with this. The local motion of a freely moving object remains unaffected by cosmological expansion. Expansion influences only the large-scale geometry and the causal connection between widely separated regions. The stone does not stop.

3:40 couldn't this be extended by flipping the triangle in the third dimension on the axis of the mirrors to the previous? As far as I know a two-dimensional a shape cannot have perceivable two sides like a coin does have heads and tails for us. It's impossible because they'd must occupy the same space in the depth axis in order to be in the same slice of the 2nd dimension, so they would be indistinguishable to a 2-dimensional being.

Or is it [insert vsauce intro] just a generalization for the object to be oriented in the lowest dimension it can be described in? If so, what would happen if you tried to find the symmetria of fractals inside fractal planes, the non-integer dimensions?

Lets do some fun:
We have point A and point B in space, and we can Through ball from both points in same direction or different. Through two ball in large constant space between A and B with constant velocity, check the point where velocity mismatched or ball really stops! Find the relations!

Aether is also another explanation of why things stop

@arkad4279

Newton's laws says it will continue until a force acts upon it , and seeing as gravity permeates space , objects will either slow down or speed up basic physics

So one day everything thats not in orbit will stop in space?

@Fisj
@

I bet Noether was LSD tripping. No one could possibly come up anything like this… ”Hey Einstein! You are wrong. Look at the symmetries. There aren’t any that means energy is leaking through the cracks to other dimension.”

@Krapula018
@

It would be nice if you learned how to pronounce "another" 👍

@wiecek00
@

if you lose energy in the "cracks" of the bending spacetime, then with certainty if you were at those specific places you'd see the same thing. It does not disappear if you narrow into it. The same way relativity is huge near black holes and neutron stars etc, but imperceptible here on earth ... but it's not 0. This energy drain should be measurable if it's a reality.

@bigdogboos1
@

I guess you just missunderstand previously...

@GafletDalaletHattaHiyanetteler
@

Not sure if this was addressed, but in accounting for gravitational potential energy, the net energy of the Universe can be zero.

@slackerman9758
@

OK I know its only 18 minutes in, pero, I have to wonder if it is not energy but time that is not conserved as the universe is expanding our point of reference seems to see that the object accelerates when it is the light that is slowing down as time from its point of reference far in the future compaired to our referance point slowes down. If energy is conserved and we are currently on the expansion slope of the universe then it would appear to us if everything is moving away and in the dark cold late history of everything it would appear as if everything is shrinking and time is the culprit again the motion is consistent the energy is consistent its time that is variable and our perspective of everything else lenses it to seem that motion is accelerating or decelerating everything away from us.

3:34 and what about the symmetry mirror at the borders? They even move the object :) .
