Is it ever clarified how Jim ranks in the office in terms of Sales? We know Dwight has the best numbers and Andy has the worst. He has to be somewhat good because we later see him get promoted and moved to the other branch. He is then offered or at least the offer is implied Jan's job at corporate. When the Golden Ticket promotion get botched and goes to the biggest client we find out that Jim is the one who got them as a client. He's promoted to Co-manager, then he hits a commission cap when Dwight never seems to. He is the first person Jo Bennet asks to be manager after DeAngelo dies. Hes then tasked woth finding the new manager. Robert California hand picks him for the Florida project. And finally even after the Athlead venture David Wallace still respects his opinion on who to make manager of the branch.
