One thing that has helped me save money over the past year is paying much closer attention to the value I get from every purchase instead of just looking at the lowest price. Sometimes a product or service that costs slightly more upfront ends up lasting longer and saving more in the long run. I recently came across Valuecom while comparing different options, and what caught my attention was the focus on getting practical value without overspending. That approach really matches how I try to manage my budget. Small savings on everyday expenses may not seem like much at first, but they add up over time and can make a noticeable difference. Whether it's shopping smarter, comparing offers, or choosing providers that give better overall value, being intentional with spending is one of the easiest ways to keep more money in your pocket.

I’ve been trying to be a lot smarter with online shopping lately because prices can be really inconsistent depending on where you buy things. One thing that helped me was slowing down and comparing a few different stores before checking out instead of buying everything immediately. I used to ignore small price differences, but over time those extra costs really add up. Recently I came across Valuecom while browsing for better prices and it actually made me pay more attention to where I shop online. It’s honestly surprising how much money you can save just by spending a few extra minutes comparing options first. Small habits like that have made online shopping much less stressful for me.

It`s important to have different strategies to be able to save or spend on what we really need. I like several of the things you said, and I remember my grandfather, who always told me that when you have money your earn from working, it`s good to allocate approximately 10% to helping others, 30% for essential monthly expenses, 15-20% for entertaiment, and 50%, if possoble, for investments.
I admit that doing this is difficult, and what`s why I usually use coupons from different companies to save money with Valuecom, for example, jaja.

In the first place, it never occurred to me to think about discount offers, because I did not consider it necessary; however, now, I want to be thrifty, and this approach is quite effective. All you need is spend several minutes trying to figure out whether there is any special offer for a specific item you are going to buy. Of course, you can do without it and, nevertheless, get a saving.
Lately, I became familiar with Valuecom web site, and made use of their offers more than once; although, not all of them seemed to be worthwhile, yet there was something that could be of great interest to those customers, who intended to buy a certain product anyhow. What I have learned from all my experiences is that nothing must be bought immediately – you should always wait, and eventually, get a good deal or realize that you didn't need this item at all..

This video really hits home because saving money isn’t just about cutting everything fun out of your life, it’s about being intentional. One thing that helped me a lot, in addition to what you explained, is tracking spending weekly instead of monthly so problems show up faster. I also found that separating “fixed costs” from “flexible costs” makes decisions much clearer. For example, once my fixed costs were optimized, I stopped stressing over small daily expenses. Another tip is to focus on increasing the value of what you already pay for, not just reducing it. That’s actually how I discovered services like Valuecom, which helped me rethink subscriptions and recurring expenses instead of blindly canceling everything. Overall, this kind of mindset shift is more sustainable long term. Great advice, especially for people just starting their financial journey.
@BestInvestorAlways. Say to your self: Is this something that is necessary for me to live 😮😂!! Act accordingly

I'm learning about how to handle my money as part of my mental health recovery, long story short, I grew up in a very neglectful family, nobody taught me how to do anything, even the most basic of things. And now that I'm finally starting to love myself, I want to do better financially. Thank you for this video, it was in fact very helpful.
@andresmendez6870I really liked how this video focuses more on mindset than strict rules. I used to chase deals just because something was on sale, and I realized later I was still spending money I didn’t need to. What helped me save more was exactly what you mentioned here: waiting before buying and keeping most of my money out of easy reach. I also like the point about not getting too precious with budgets, because being overly strict always made me quit. These days I combine that mindset with practical tools like tracking discounts only when I already plan to buy something. For example, I’ll check places like Valuecom after I’ve decided an item is actually necessary, not before. That way the savings feel intentional instead of impulsive. So yeah, this was a refreshing and realistic take on saving money. Thanks bro!
@derejekebede6985Just watched this again. What I like about your videos in addition to learning stuff u r so funny. Even your commercials r funny!

@moneyexplainedmediaI know this , but I can't get the snow ball rolling 😭
@LineaIbsen21Do you have dental insurance to cover that high cost expenditure? That’s the item that costs me a lot so I have a fund for that.
@AndrewMinjirasThank you for this very funny and informative video, CRAIG!
@rafaelteodoro6535I just recently quit smoking. I am motivated with saving money now.

I need to learn the dark arts of saving money
doing my bi-yearly Wheezy check in and this is the first of my... 11 tabs of your videos I've got opened to quickly marathon for this afternoon... but I just noticed that this this video is EXACTLY a year old today!! spooky. glad you're still truckin Craig, keep up the good work!! @TulipsToKissStop saying I’m stupid 🤷🏽♀️
I like your content a lot but that comment is not true nor necessary 😊
I totally agree with your philosophy.
@NealLevin1thank you micheal from vsauce!
@TatsukiHashidaSaving money is very important because it is through this practice that we can become rich. I save money in various ways, in my shopping and much more, and I give advice to everyone: many times making money is easy, keeping it is difficult. ...
@FernandoEmanuel-d9lMuch Appreciated 🎉
@PositivepeacefulvibesFor me, this is your most profound piece of wisdom. The juice in having money is pure gold.
@KateWilliam75It's good to live below your means, definitely but saving money and just putting it on a bank is stupid! You're just making the bank more rich and lose big value of your money over time, banks will never work for your benefit.
@pristinewebdev6680So engaging from beginning to end.
@zachhammer-r4twow. Gate keeping the calculator app...?

@SunriseWaterMediayou can invest in stocks, but you can also invest that money in a business that brings in twice that or even more.
@clairewulfI also do the waiting thing before buying. Very few impulse purchases these days!
@LizzyMomI'd 100% rather buy my friends a nice meal than have a pricy purse or outfit. I've got a pricey vehicle but used and not new. I like living life instead of making my life run me.
@britt581I’ve been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $516k. I'm not sure how to make it grow, considering all the inflation, into something substantial that I might use for retirement. I’m just here for ideas
@PajinakStanovskaI will take that and apply that advice 😊
@simonshura9144I now take pride in not spending too much money and only buy if we really need it.
@scjENG-s4rI do not buy designer clothes or have a fancy car, I like looking like someone who blends into the background.
@scjENG-s4rGood Morning Craig, if you save money then you are sensible, I am trying to teach my Daughter about the £20 rule everytime she gets paid from her part time wage, I learnt many years ago whne I ran up a £3000 debt on credit cards, I moved the debt onto one card, taped it all up in sellotape and then paid it all of bit by bit until it was clear. Then from then I started saving money.
@scjENG-s4rYou are hilarious. Thanks for the video.
@ms.rivera7898Great video. Entertaining and I learned stuff too! I will be watching u again in the future.
@karenbenning2166that is a sub optimal life. spend your money on travel, experiences to make life richer, not on material things as much as possible. if you die with millions left over, you lost.
@vmrevoteWhat camera are you using??
