The Basics of the Solar System in 10 Minutes!

Video Overview & Insights

Ever wondered how hot the Sun is, or how thin Saturn's rings are? In this short, 10 minute, video we'll learn some fun facts about the Solar System! We'll go though each of the 8 planets, the moon, the Sun, and the Asteroid Belt! And we'll learn some fascinating things along the way!

Hello everyone,

I would like to share the gospel with you:

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

What this means is that God willfully gave his son Jesus Christ to take upon all the sins of the earth and die in our place (because the punishment for sin is death and we have all sinned), and if we believe in the one God sent (Jesus Christ), put our faith in him, believing that he is the son of God who came to die for our sins we will be saved. This is the grace that God has given us.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." — Ephesians 2:8-9

Thank you.

The funny thing about the gas giants is that their order goes from biggest to smallest.

Also, Neptune, despite being smaller than Uranus, actually has more mass.

1:36 Bro, just a small clarification — the Sun isn’t exactly at the center of the Solar System. The true center is the solar system barycenter (the center of mass), and all planets, asteroids, and even the Sun itself orbit around this point. Hope this helps!

08:23 Uranus

09:33 Neptune

0:07 so your telling me that 26% of the us population are that stupid?

fun fact: venus' rotation (243 days) takes longer than its rotation around the sun (224 days)

I just came across this.. i havent looked yet, but this should definitely be updated! This is such high quality, and i think it should update moon count, and some other newly known facts.

The sun does move around earth and earth around sun, it all depends on perspective and both are important.

6:41 DOES THIS MEAN THAT WE LIVE IN A BINARY STAR SYSTEM?! (if Jupiter was 80 times more massive if it become a star)

1:28 Average sized star based on classification is a blue giants. Based on mass-size scale line, white dwarf stars, 1.5 times larger. than the Sun.
And yeah, again Main-Sequnce stars compared to growed up corpse of stars, which is have already used up their hydrogen!? The largest star is 30 times bigger than the Sun.

@ОчереднойШкольник-ж9я

1:08 No, Neptune's system larger than the Sun. Even Earth system is larger Than the Sun! I think Sun is on 5-6 place in the top.

7:45 Sorry, this can't be correct. Outer ring has diameter of 960.000 km. If you scale it down to earth (factor 75), and compared to thickness of paper (0,1 mm), the original rings would only be 3 inches thick.

I think this is your first video. I am asking everyone - share this video and this channel. It's really underrated. For one year there should've been at least 1 million subscribers. It would be stupid of us to NOT motivate this person and loose some quality content. Thanks.

9:16 Uranus is actually -224°C making it the coldest planet in the solar system you are gonna confuse people making them think Neptune is the coldest
