I think a very important thing Johnny forgets is that weapons expire. They have a shelf life; countering technologies evolve, rocket fuel goes bad and circuits/batteries corrode. It's use it or lose it.
Some countries, like those in the EU, use the weapons that are nearing use-by-date against practice targets, but if we had better uses (like giving them to Ukraine), that's obviously better.
Many countries have better targets than plywood tanks.

Remember Rumsfeld announcing that and literally the next day 9/11 happens and a plane/bird/missile/superman hits the Pentagon where those files are being kept? And NSA Building 7 comes down on its own in free fall where also, documents were being kept. You are thanking and trusting those guys that the data they gave you is clear. Mmmkay

@AccessionstandardUSA spends almost as much as every country combines, yet has barely ever won a war. Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea ... just money down the drain. UK has been much more successful with a fraction of the resources. Almost seems as if the USA military exist purely for the profit of the Military Industrial Complex???
