@govtaxserf7941This video tells me you have never been to a truck stop, greasy spoon cafe.
@hopper1Two suggestions. Use apple sauce instead of oil in your pancakes, add a teaspoon of vanilla as well. Cover your eggs instead of basting them in oil. Less fat and less gross oil taste.
@21jimmyo2 dollar ? In Holland only the butter cost €2,49
@vosrotterdamTry again in 2024
@Los_NBH_7I live in Texas and there is no way I can get all these ingredients for 2 dallors like. More like 18$ cheapest. Rip.
@riversteck6805I dunno who don’t want u to say moist but when u say it like that 🥵😂
@Johnnyp881:25 Heston Blumenthal has a roasted potato clip here on YT whereby his potatos get very mushy, in fact beyond mushy to the point of getting ragged edges, and he claims this makes them very crunchy and soft after they leave the oven. Of course, this may not be the "American Breakfast" style potatos, but, regardless it is worth a look.
@chicobicalho5621In my opinion, the potatoes are always the star of the show, not the pancakes. If someone jinxes up the potatoes, I don’t thoroughly enjoy the meal. 🫣
@kaitlynturnboo6697Yeah, the way you made your potatoes is incredibly inefficient and honestly not as good as other methods. The best way is to cook them is to cut, butter a pan, cook until crispy on medium to high heat, then pour in about 1/2 cup of beef/chicken stock then season potatoes and cook until potatoes are crispy. There perfect potatoes that’s are crispy and evenly seasoned while being melted in your mouth soft
@sergiorome42Way too much work
@georgegarcia1445That’s right. With the power of your own home. Make dinner at home $20-30. Go out for a similar meal. $100-$150. What a rip! I mean, rent, utilities, the table, chair, flooring, supplies, and especially staff. Should all be free. Restaurants rip customers off with such a huge upcharge. Good thing ‘home’ is rent or mortgage free. No property tax, no utilities, no cookware and supply purchases.
@jasonkrick1614I use to eat out for breakfast and you can spend up to $30.00. With tax and tip. Started making these $2.00 breakfast and it's great. Very good video. Keep them coming.
@georgepickett1884Now i am trying to do more cooking so im less than a novice, but im guessing yukon golds hold more of a structure when cooked so theyre better for cubed potatoes or things like scallop potatoes and idaho potatoes are better for mashed potatoes as they tend to be softer when cooked or am i totally wrong and just backing up that i am indeed less than a novice.
@hypershadic2014I wonder how much Joshua's time to make all this costs, or the costs of any assistants he would need to rack out a 12 topper in under 15 minutes.
@bloodyseagullHow can you label this 2$. Where the fuck are you shopping at josh?
@Brad-q1nGood and Yummy meal :)
@보르그랜드-Bolglandthis plate is about $10 now
@OGRE_HATES_NERDSThanks your sharing. I will do it right now
@DungMy-f1bYou're my favorite YouTube chef
@actualRocketScientistJosh not understanding that food goes bad and people typically aren’t gonna make this everyday. I love the idea behind this series but I don’t think Josh understands how the average person lives lmao
@GourmetNinj4This guy is annoying asf
@KingSlayer_.In what dimension do 8 eggs cost only 0.83$?
@carbunclegirl1lb of ground pork for $2.50? Cheapest I can find it nationally is WildFork at $4.00/lb frozen and $5.50/lb at the local major supermarket. I'm not going to break down all his costs, but he seems to be in a super LCOL area or is buying in restaurant bulk prices
@cvanaverI'm not a hash brown gal so I appreciate this one.
@lovaloo763Where the hell is this man getting ground pork for $2.50/lb
@selfloathinggameingThanks to Bidenomics these videos have aged poorly very quickly.
@Mortified42no way
@smartman4188This feels like a but better in disguise
@jahvonfrancis3875Me wondering where you get 8 eggs for 0.83 -.-
@romascopa8461Can we verify the costs of this? Even 2yrs ago. I dont think 1.36 is accurate.
@geoffrianThings have changed in two years, but those prices are way different to what I can find over here. Eggs are 25 to 50 cents a piece, the spices in those amounts are between 10 and 50 cents per, oil is two to three times as much when going for the cheapest, and the pork is twice as much. Along with that, there are the energy prices for running an oven for ~40 minutes and two frying pans. This is closer to 5 dollar per serving.
