The traffic to and from the airport is always bad. Good thing we have the Airtrain, LIRR, and multiple trains and buses.
It'll still take a while to get to Midtown, but at least the trains go underneath all of that car traffic while nearby buses connect to those trains.

Both Laguardia and Kennedy airport were out of date, but Laguardia was worse. I am glad Laguardia is better now and they are making Kennedy better.

@Justin64JFK T4 is still terrible and dumpy operating similar to a bus terminal. T4A is even worse adding a lower level for gates is crowded, disorganized and offering absolutely nothing as no space is allocated for bathrooms restaurants etc., JFK needs to refurbish and modernize and turn T4 into a luxury terminal as is disappointing especially for Delta travelers. LGA is far superior being modern more lux, open-airy, many restaurants, bars excellence customer service from staff and clean!!! Seriously, $19BILLION and T4 looks and operates like a dirty bus terminal.!!!!

@mrbaker1739I don't know how but every time I go JFK Airport to go on a flight, nothing happens to me that is very bad or just normally bad. Everything goes well possibly for luck.

@raidlover6941I forsure thought Newark was gonna be the worst only cause ive seen lists of the worst airports in the us and Newark was very bad, honestly i didnt find Newark bad but only boring as hell cause there isnt anyhting to do there except being on your phone or planespotting from the terminal

@Joeywilkins29I first flew out of JFK in 1970, and have never known a time since then when the airport wasn't in the middle of some major construction project.
How is it that Terminal 1 is already considered obsolete and is being replaced? It only opened about 26 years ago.
New York is renowned as a world class city??? A bit of an understatement?

@roboliver9980I didn't catch it. Will the new terminals still be owned and operated by the airlines? Because if so, while the in-terminal customer experience will be nicer, it won't do much to improve overall efficiency of airport operations regarding passenger flight experience.
@3Guaguas-TravelExpanding the capacity of JFK is a good thing, but getting to JFK from the city and surrounding counties is already a nightmare. As you approach JFK from any direction, expect to spend 30 min stuck in traffic once you get within 10 miles. Its particularly frustrating (and expensive) if you are in a taxi with the meter running.
