The #1 Mistake People Make When Moving to Nashville's Suburbs

Video Overview & Insights

Nashville’s growth has been nothing short of explosive - but at what cost? In this video, Nashville Realtor and relocation expert Jamison Blackwell breaks down the dark side of the city’s suburban boom. From Franklin and Mt. Juliet to Spring Hill and Hendersonville, new developments are reshaping the region - but they’re also quietly erasing what made Nashville special in the first place.

Great video! Native Nashvillian here, currently plotting my exit from Spring Hill back into the city. This suburban flight from Nashville has happened before, in the 1960s (before my time!). It would be a meaningful conversation to talk about, why did it happen then? Why is it happening now? And what needs to happen to reverse that trend?

3:13 He speaks a truth. There is a reason why New York State, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania are still alive. Public Transit from the cities fore fathers helped keep these places alive. We don't have that here and if you don't have the funds you're going to live with family until buying a house in Shelbyville seems like a smart idea.
