Taxi Driver - Thank God For The Rain/I Still Can't Sleep
Video Overview & Insights
Taxi Driver - Thank god for the rain/I Still Can't Sleep (+ AMBIENT SOUNDS)
Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank all of you for sharing your stories and emotions while listening to this. It's interesting to see that we all felt like Travis at some point or even for the rest of our life. The struggle of this marginalized man is actually the struggle of a quiet majority. Life is damn tough. For those currently going through hard times, I wish you the best. Take care of yourselves :-)
New 30 minute version with more sounds, better ambiance and Travis' voice.
I always wanted to combine Bernard Herrmann score with some ambient sounds such as rain or city sounds to recreate the unique ambience of the movie.
PROYECTADO
Enjoy it !
I am not planning on earning money with this, just a fan who wants to share his love of an incredible movie :-)

this is like the worst kind of edging bc the sax solo never comes lmao
@psylocked0723Not always the same mal becomes the ruler of earth . In other timelines, cetaceans, previous earthlanders, became true rules of the blue pearl floating in space. We are right at the verge of evolution... Eons before true Nirvana. It's just that... In this timeline.... Primates ruled the world first and decided to destroy it. In another timeline, whales could've been the antien sages, céphalopodes - octopy, not even a mammal- would have reached the stars.
@isanzuruHaiii Doomers 🥺👉🏼👈🏼
@CorpseOfAgatharNo entiendo por qué Dios trae gente a este mundo únicamente para que estén solos
@JOSEMONTERO-v4wTravis is the most relatable guy in any film I’ve ever seen.

@Alawwi1I miss New York. I was born and raised in New York State. I pray to move my family back to New York or somewhere close to New York. I ask in the name of Jesus!

@oa288He would've been my favorite teacher EVER if he taught at my college. He answers so many questions that my professors never even asked us, that tell us never even attempt to say since it's a given how "the way of the world is"

Captures the mood.
Literally me. We live in a society.
@MrBjandersIt's raining after a long night working,and this is me caught in the endless cycle that we call life. Watching the world go by is a blessing and a curse,being an observer gives you a unique perspective on life; It's like your looking through the eyes of a stranger, there but not there. And here I am amidst the chaos and confusion of a world that I'll never fully integrate with, just watching. I sit,I wait,I listen, maybe one day someone will do the same for me. Even though I may be losing my appetite, and everything feels screwed up, I'll listen to this track as a reminder. A reminder to remember the good days that have come to pass, and to keep moving forward in hopes of a better future. 11/4/24
@TheApopheniac77Astrophobia people: Thank god for the rain…. Without a storm.
@VaporPC88Thoughts of despair come but we must remain strong. I hope we can all find some sort of peace in this crazy world.

@CarlosRicciardi726I still long for the love of Betsy. Sadly Wizard passed away a few years ago. RIP my friend. I could ALWAYS count on you for good advice.
@TravislovesBetsynot gonna lie, this would be a dope 11 hour video. I still appreciate every bit of the 34 minutes though, its gotten to me. As the end of the year approaches, I can't help but reflect on all that I've overcome throughout. The lesson I learned and would like to share with whoever stumbles across this is; Whatever you feel you need, you already have it. There are things we have this idea about having "control" of, but we can only control what we can. Go with flow, and let everything be organic.
@bertrandbestGateway to "Blade Runner Blues", another rainy night. Just replace cab with spinner.
@sunkenindeafSo cool. Hope you can do more vintage movie ones like this.
@OGCJMN1382Never gets old
@DailyDividendsThere is chaos yet to unfold as long as your heart is beating.
@heelmoxley365(Part II)
I keep getting interrupted like these annoying ads that break in on my solitude.
Alone, walking in darkness helps me think, helps me solve or think I've solved the dilemmas of my life. My eyes look down to the sidewalk but just long enough to see what not to step in. Have to stay vigilant as the same time as my thoughts blinding me from the reality I'm in.
Walking................................thinking.................................considering........................hoping.
Who's in the shadows ahead and what is in the shadow of my future?
It's dark, bleak, all color bleached out of it till there is only a grey scale.
Like the old television pattern after the ending of the day when the American anthem plays and it appears on your set as a night light.
The geometrical pattern with that Indian. I think about that Indian...................Why, an Indian? But that is long past as is my younger life. There are more pressing questions to be answered here on my "think walking".
A familiar tune oozes in and out of my mind's sight. I can't seem to shut it off but then, though it keeps playing, it becomes just background noise I ignore.
If I could ride an asteroid far out into space and just go where it goes seeing things never seen before, I might then be inspired to make some progress in my life.
I begin to think about things, ridiculous things like if an alien were to have come to earth 65 million years ago, he'd have seen only dinosaurs here with no real intelligence just as if I were able to travel to an earth like planet at a time of its evolution, what would I find there at that particular time? Life is such a mystery. At least in my time, there is much better science to adhere to for some kind of reasoning. I stop for a moment in thinking of the horror of mankind so under the spells of superstition and religion supposedly explaining.
For someone to be so sure and devoted to an ideal that is completely wrong but therefore makes a person believe in witches and that one belief is more dangerous than an other that is so much just like it that you would believe it a merciful thing to kill the beholder of that wrong ideal.
My thoughts are running their course as the rain begins again. I'm too far from home but still, I'll walk there anyway.
I just want to close my eyes and imagine I’m a Cabbie driving through the sleepy streets of New York in 1976.
@65_roses_jku7this music makes me overthinking
@bjnnn07Just beautiful how it feels the hurt the happyn....loneliness, even if it hurts❤
@chiefslief1998I'll go one or a few further: I'm God's lonely invisible depressed forgotten ignored tired barely functional fed up apathetic becoming numb sometimes drunk sometimes high sometimes sober sometimes with hope and dreams sometimes with no hopes or dreams sometimes horny sometimes not horny but always hungry and thirsty with a mind that buzzes like a fridge through the eternal night man (well at least yer reading this comment) 😉
@thatssomething1I love this!!!
Great Job dude!!!
This OST sounds very much like you're a spectator. Just observing the life around you. Just like a Taxi Driver.
@aJ-bw2swListening to this while driving my car at rainy night downtown after I resigned my job, The water droplet on my windshield synchronized with my tears.
@TheAndre1702This is just what I needed for a lonely rainy sunday night...
@UntitledKirk2023 and this movie is how i felt for years and its even worse now.
@HollowNoFaceits crazy how we live in the most connected age and people still relate to a movie that was released in the late 70s. really shows how it doesn't matter how much of a connected society we become, its all the same
@chickenpasta7359I might be late to the party
But holy, this is so soothing for studying, especially if you are a bit stressed and short on time.
I was listening to some other stuff from my regular playlist but nothing was really working and I kept almost falling asleep. But this somehow put me in the perfect zone.
