Can you make a video on how to get out of emerald? Was diamond 4 before emerald.. now cannot get past emerald 4 since the new reduced gains in emerald the game has felt unplayable. i have accounts push into emerald 60%+ wr... to gain 14 lp an lose 22... The accounts end their because lp does not move, while mmr tanks.

Most players start to duo during emerald just due to game quality an skill gaps within the rank. The system will push you forward in current LOL regardless of skill you just need to play the game, this changes once you hit emerald.

Im diamond 1 50lp..3 games and im master, what is advice to get it without loosing XD.. It took me half year to get to this position and i want that master more than ever.

Ive been playing support since season 3. My highest rank achived was plat I back when emerald didnt exist and promos were a thing.
I dont consider my self good or even above the average but I have quite an experience playing this roll at least in low elo.
As a otp Thresh it is very anoying playing in low gold or lower because you can do a good impact in the game but it feels kind of random for the game to be won because of the poor decision making of the rest of the team. When I started playing I loved utility champs but I quickly realized it is nearly imposible to climb in low elo with utility. When I hit high plat I start feeling like I can pick champs like janna, nami or lulu.

I went brand support, took me 2 season and a lot of games but i went from bronze 3-4 to gold 4 currently.

That moving background makes me sick to look at for more than a few seconds.

I wanted to climb on thresh but soon realized it was gonna be Swain and Morgana until my laner understood how lanterns work

support was the best role for me to climb from iron to gold

I lost a game where Rell was ADC and Ashe was support, Ashe ended up selling her support item at 20 min. Rell had no support item and my team was way ahead in kills. But because we kept running it down at them and not playing map or turrent objs we lost quite handedly to a 0/7 ashe who was just pushing waves. It's a wakeup call i should probably stop playing support to get out

I dont want to say you are necessarily wrong, but there is definitely a perspective bias going on I think.
Like yes, engage champions on a challenger player are more frustrating / less consistent than self-reliant characters....because you are clearly better than everyone else.
I dont think that is necessarily true for a bronze player playing against bronze players.

a lot of players say "play engage supp" when they are in like silver to emerald and literally rage on you if you pick an enchanter
but then when you do eventually play an engage, they will never position correctly, not follow up when they should, don't try to make plays happen over time

Definitely nailed why mage supports are broken from iron-plat but start to struggle as you get to emerald. If you’re able to get that 2 item spike early enough, you’re basically as strong as a mid laner. If not, you’re homeless and will get one shot if you’re not completely locked in

I played mid from bronze to gold and did Vel’Koz support when on secondary. But games on Vel’Koz were so free that I played Vel’Koz to Plat as my primary role with 55% WR. I’m trying to push to emerald but I’m hitting a wall and winning like 50-55% of my games. I think I could hit emerald but would have to really lock in and get lucky

After I hit emerald, I’m unsure if I should go back to playing mid or if I should learn engage and enchanter supps. I know I would struggle on engage supports initially but I feel like they’re more fun. I’m thinking I should learn these supports on a gold smurf because currently if I play anything other than Vel’Koz support at plat+ elo, then I’m trolling

I feel like alistar, braun and thresh are all amazing low elo supports. I came back from a break in the game. Did only thresh for 8 games and climbed all the way through gold into plat. I was getting bonus for multiple A and S ranks.

As a bronze 4 support, I hate it here. I was Platinum in 2023, took a break in 2024 and came back this year to be hardstuck bronze because my ADC and JGL are braindead. I main engage supports because I hate having to carry myself with a mage (if I wanted to do that I would go mid) and 99% of the time no matter how good my engage is my team sits there watching me instead of helping.

I started playing league six months ago with my bf, he made me start playing ranked games as soon as I hit lvl 30 so like 4 months ago, and now I’m stuck iron with him bc I play enchanter supports and don’t know enough about the game to change champ now. I’ve tried but I feel like I’m more comfortable with my enchanter support champ.
I love this game but I don’t have enough free time to learn and get better fast enough.
Thank you for those super helpful videos. I’ve been trying to find a video that explains what I’m supposed to do as a support I’m genuinely lost, besides trying to keep my ADC alive I have no clue about timers, wave crashing, freeze, wards and so on. I’m just trying to get better at the game and videos like those help so much.
