What i do is, paste my lyrics, and after suno generated the song with a beat, i removed the lead vocals and sing my song on suno beat with the generated background and backup vocals… so there only thing that would be noticeable is the beat, because the lyrics and vocals are mines… sometimes if i have a song on a beat, i would upload it to get suno to do a cover song, then i maybe sing it iver in there style and flow on my beat but i still keeping they background and backup vocals

Hello, I have a legal/copyright question regarding an AI-assisted song.
The lyrics are fully original and written by me. The vocal melody and arrangement idea were generated using Suno AI, and we are keeping them substantially the same. However, the final song is fully re-recorded by human musicians, arranged/produced by a human producer, and sung by a real singer.
In this case, who should legally be credited as the composer/songwriter, and how should this be handled for music rights registration and platform credits?

A licence to use Suno has NOTHING to do with the copyright to a song. You create that copyright by uploading it to something with a timestamp. In the end Suno is a tool, like a wrench. Even if you BORROW the wrench for free it does not give the owner of the wrench any rights to what you build. Sudo can cry to highheaven about this and write all kind of BS in their info, but that doesn't change basic facts. In an actual lawsuit they will fail, so that text is ONLY there to get you to BUY THE PRO PLAN! It's a scam.

@Albert._Suno increasingly looks like a scam service that takes people’s money and then artificially prevents users from creating music normally. Original melodies get blocked, the workflow gets disrupted, and paid credits expire. To me, this no longer looks like copyright protection — it looks like an unfair practice against users.

You are handing over a piece of your sonic identity to train a corporate machine forever, with very little legal protection to back you up if someone else decides to scrape or mimic your track.

The important thing is that SUNO helped springboard you to relevance....
After that, once on people's radar, simply stop using SUNO and do your thing....brand your self, etc.

I got a quick question. Maybe somebody can answer this.
Say I write a song, record my own guitars and vocals, then upload those tracks into Suno and use AI to generate a bass line, drums, and keyboards to go with it. Basically, I’m using Suno like session musicians.
How does the law work with that? Especially if the songs are already copyrighted. Does anybody know where that stands legally?
If using your phone I'm not sure if taking a screenshot would help with a copyright claim as you cannot get the full date ie with the year?
@ramases1I use suno mixed with my own singing voice and my own lyrics. I have zero interest in monetizing or putting my music on the platforms. That way I don't expect many problems copyright-wise.

I make my own music using fl studio, like a basic track or just a hook, and then I use Suno to polish it up.I just upload my track with paste the lryics(no styles added) and generate. I do this because I want at least 20% of my own style to shine through in the music. Even with the lyrics, I don’t use Suno. I get ideas from GPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini, and then I tweak the lyrics to make them fit my vibe.
So even if they try to sue me someday..i have all my projects saved on fl studio...

@Hinu-m3vIf i produce my beats on suno ,then put the beat into another DAW (logic pro x) to mix and master and put my original vocals on it. Would that be fair game for full copyright? Or if I say put a compressor over certain instruments from suno would it be mine? I plan on using my voice and beatboxing to make these beats on suno. Im trying to get sync placements.
