Around Kežmarok in central Slovakia, near the High Tatras, there are beautiful fields and meadows. On June 17, 2026, storm warnings were issued for this area and also for eastern Slovakia.
I went out to place my microphones at the usual locations and then drove around with my camera and a backup microphone, searching for nice spots to capture the incoming storm. I found this stunning field just in time... the sun was still shining behind me while a storm slowly rolled in right in front.
The wind was pleasantly calm, and the storm moved incredibly slowly, almost standing still. I managed to record some really beautiful shots and atmospheric sounds.
