Learning to drive, get an instructor. Your family /friend will teach you how to drive . Your instructor will teach you how to pass! I passed 9 months ago now definitely one of the best thing I’ve achieved

When is her test

In NZ the distance between the front and back car is like 3 feet so it is a tight spot.

Pheobe has the right idea to parallel park, yes the gap was a little tighter than usual, but the problem comes when someone has parked a camper van on the opposite side of the road, being that far from the kerb will block the road. so while a pass mark think the examiners should make it harder so that the learner is closer to the kerb, as having the backend so far from the kerb can make it harder for a learner to get the backend in closer to the kerb not to block the road on a normal estate with cars parked both sides of the road, like a gap I got to get into I am on full constant bleep with my reversing sensors, and got to get full lock on immediately to get my front end out of the parking space. so no room to get the backend in to the kerb if you mess it up doing it to driving test standards. yes in an ideal world everyone has 1 car, but in reality people have 4 or more cars per household, so parking becomes a serious issue.

Hello brother,
I want to share with you my journey about my driving test. My test was on 26th November, and unfortunately, I was unsuccessful with 1 serious fault and 7 minor faults. My test centre was Southall, and the time was 2:20 PM.

When I entered the test centre, a lady came out and called my name. I went to her, and then a guy asked me to sign and check my email address. I asked him if I could change my address, and he replied, “Later.” Then he took me outside and told me to read a van’s license plate, which I read correctly.

He then told me to get in the car and put my seatbelt on. I got in the car, put my seatbelt on, and he asked me to press the hazard button. I pressed it, and he checked all the lights. After that, he entered the car and explained the driving test process.

He asked, “What do you want me to call you? Is it okay to call you Shekh?” Let me clarify: my name is Shekh Deep. It looks like my last name is Deep and my first name is Shekh. But in my country, where I am originally from, people sometimes put their last name first. The same thing happened to me, and in my passport, Shekh is listed as my first name. However, I prefer to be called Deep, and everyone calls me Deep. That’s why I told him I prefer to be called Deep. He seemed disturbed, as if he thought I was asking him to call me by my last name.

Even during the test, he asked me about my age. Then he said, “Let’s start.” I asked, “Which way do you want me to go?” He said, “First start,” as if annoyed by my question. I asked again, and he said, “Get off the parking spot first, then turn left.”

He was giving me instructions, and I was following them. After a few moments, he told me to pull over on the left, not even saying, “When it is safe to do so.” I pulled over to the left, and then he said, “Let’s go.”

It was uphill, and a bus was coming. I was waiting for the bus to pass, but the examiner kept saying, “What are you waiting for? Go, go.” He was pressuring me so much that I forgot to turn on the right signal. I became so nervous that my car rolled back a little.

A few moments later, he told me to pull over on the right side. Then he instructed me to reverse two car lengths. After finishing, he told me to move on. I checked the left blind spot, saw there was no car, and was preparing to move, but he kept saying, “Go, go.” Again, I forgot to indicate because of his pressure.

Then he turned on the navigation and told me to follow it. During independent driving, I became a little confused about a direction and asked him, “Sorry, I’m a little confused. Is it a left turn or not?” He replied, “Why are you confused? It’s clear—just follow the navigation.”

At one point, an emergency ambulance was behind me. I asked him, “Can you please advise me what I should do? Pull over to the left or slow down?” The road was narrow, with two lanes—one going left and one going straight. He told me, “Slow down and move a little to the left.”

Before I moved off, he again said, “Why are you taking so much time?” I was taking time because the light was green, and traffic was passing me, so I was waiting for a safe gap.

A few moments later, he said, “Show me how to clean the front windscreen.” He didn’t say, “When it is safe to do so.”

Then he said, “Your independent driving is finished; now I will direct you.” He took me to a narrow road where there was a junction ahead, five parked cars, and one car with its hazard lights on. At first, I was confused, thinking the cars might be turning right. I stopped, and within 5 seconds, the car behind me started to overtake. That’s when I realized those were parked cars, so I started moving.

That’s where I got my serious fault. After passing the last car, I positioned my car to the left because I was instructed to turn left. The examiner didn’t intervene or take control of the car. I turned left and returned to the test centre.

After parking, he asked me, “Do you want your instructor to listen to this?” I said yes. He then told my instructor, “Why is he nervous?” He also mentioned there was an almost 2-inch gap when I was positioning my car. He then said, “Unfortunately, you have failed on this occasion.”

I was so shocked by his attitude, which seemed predetermined. In the email, I saw my serious fault was for clearance.

Last night, I cried the whole night. I couldn’t believe how he behaved with me. I have lost my confidence, and I’m not sure if I can take another test.

How come they don't do 3-point turn manoeuvres in the test anymore? It's very rare I've had to do them, only in cul-de-sacs but it was always a part of the test if I remember correctly.

Even how good you are but the examiner is a c*nt! You will never passed practical test for the 1st try too many brainless examiner and they failed you on purpose in London.

so if you got a 24 plate car would you leave it like that on a tight road?
