This early Stephen King story is both creepy and mesmerizing... I had so much fun working on this audiobook version of "Strawberry Spring" complete with visuals of foggy nights on the campus of New Sharon Teacher's College...
Stephen King's "Strawberry Spring" was originally written in 1968 and published in Ubris Literary Magazine.
Oh wow, one of my favorites
Opening theme: "Sinister" by Anno Domini Beats
Incredible piece of work.

@crimzonchyld5282What was that with the name like Carlos it had to be true
@ddavis4730Thank you! A new story to me!
@tasharyne-ramsay965with a name like that, it had to be true. OK, I'm stopped watching it right here. I think this is just batting people to make comments. This is crazy.
@charisemiller2052i'm sorry, but what the hell. six minutes he had a lot to say about who she was. WHAT
@charisemiller2052Iโm a great fan of Stephen King and this is my very first audio book I have ever listened to completely. I usually nod off, narrator was wonderful. Now I have found a way to work on my embroidery quilts and listen to Stephen King. A win, win for me. Thank you fir sharingโค๐
@sharyn7454I'm Bat ๐ฉ F##king Crazy, by Steven King!! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ He's a lunatic!!!! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ Trump derangement case!!
@MonteLowMe too
@EUGENEHERNANDEZ-y1tEveryone seems to be on about the readers' skills, and I heartily agree. Dont you think its SK narrating his own work? It sounds like it to me. One of my ABSOLUTE favorite audio books, narrated by him was Bag of Bones. If you've not read it or listened to it, please do yourself a favor and do so. The atmospheric story and narration are just outstanding. For that kind of quality Id say first Rebecca, and then second, Bag of Bones.โคKP
@deanpippitt3170A lesbian killed by her boyfriend???
@nonagrey3422Wow took me a good 30 seconds to realize what he was saying ๐ฎ
@christi776The editing style is impressive.
@sono-filmsI had never heard of this before and I've been reading King since 1977, Good story and well read. 2//2026
@kathybaran2721I love this short story... unpolished King is fantastic...just a good taste of what will come. Also. Love your videos... Peace y'all โค
@Donathon-x2dWell ... Okay, I guess.
@proudguyThis is a good one! Read it years ago. Love the twist at the end
@denisehageman7929It was easy to guess he (the person narrating) was the killer right from the first murder.
@srinageshtExcellent reading. You can tell this was written when King was young. It's too wordy, adjective-filled. He's trying so hard to sound literate by making every sentence a 'poem.' This leaves no room for the reader's/listener's imagination.
When I realized it was in 1st person POV, the end became predictable. There's no other reason for the story to be in 1st person.
6:09 A lesbian who was murdered by her boyfriend? But sheโs a lesbian? What?
@GriffinVlogssOH DEAR GOD!!!! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
@thejesseffectThank you for putting together so many stories I can listen for days, let it snow!
@aprilarcher2525Thank you. This was almost a mini autobiography.
@JJDigitalartStudiolol i figured out who the killer was half way through.
@DannytheMightiestDiscipleCool โค
@lynnepinner3747Stephen King was so happy about Charlie Kirk's murder that I'm disgusted with him. Never again!!
@jonirosesandflowers4650MORE STEVEN KING GARBAGE!! ๐ซข๐ซข
@MarkBrighton-nb8jeJust thank you thank you people
@passthatsmoke๐
@kristiebouldin1166Its Stephan King so another crappy throw out waste of paper. I've never read the book, but its best to trash talk what you dont know then THINK for yourself and make your own options before someone tells you how to trash talk others.
@martindick6001Canโt wait to see what happens ๐โคโค
@AmberAnnXxHe got me with THE STAND..Never was one to keep reading BUT STEPHEN KING HAD ME๐ฎ
@dianabringhurst429So glad I found this unknown story
@budgieholicSCP-3041
@playvideogames369You know you've lost control over your life when you're afraid to open your car's trunk. King is the master juggler with our deepest fears. I don't give a shit what the "academic" poetry monopolists say.
@KlausTothIf only Walter C was still around. His appalled half dead corpse would old rampage. Good times.
@jdsteppenzydeHe really is a master at his craft. King is king.
