Star Trek VS Stargate - Which Enterprise Can Stop The Ori? Starship Battles

Video Overview & Insights

#startrek #starships #stargate

Without watching? The J. I could probably do it, as well.

9:30 More than. Also, based on how Kirk spoke to Cochrane the Federation had MANY more worlds. In the game A Final Unity the Federation's computer entry mentions thousands of members. (It is a specific number but it currently eludes me.)

— @enterprise-h312

Today we are going to find out which Enterprise can stop the Ori!

The Ori have been around for a million years, so as you would expect their technology is highly advanced.

The fake Enterprise G.

— @gress12000

However the Federation has 150 member worlds, will this make a difference?

Played in Star Trek Bridge Commander Kobyashimaru (Available On Gamefront)

This feels roughly right, though it's probably not even strong enough considering the D shields shouldn't even match up pound for pound to a regular Ha'tak.

The 1701-J with a secondary hull, which was proposed but got rejected as the showrunner wanted the J to pay homage to the NX class, might have gone over more swimmingly had it been chosen.

Star Trek Armada 2

This made me think, just imagine how advanced a race would have to be if there were one capable of making and using a solar system sized ship, with a sun as the core/power plant. You've got manipulating and moving stars and construction on the scale of the Dyson sphere.

Interesting. Stargate ships in VS Battle Wiki are in the 7-C to 6-B range. While Enterprise (NCC-1701) is at least 6-A.

The only way to ever measure one universe's tech is BY THAT universe's tech--not a different universe: that's why it's called "apples and oranges."

I would buy Enterprises through B having real trouble doing damage to an Ori vessel, but the Ori pulse cannons are overpowered: it wasn't those that destroyed Stargate ships--only their main beam weapon. The Odyssey took FIVE Ori energy blasts, with shields @ 28%--meaning they could take ONE more blast. Even in their first battle, each Daedalus-class ship took TWO full Ori energy blasts BEFORE their shields collapsed. This automatically proves Federation shielding FAR stronger. See below.

The Odyssey could not generate more shield power than the 1701-D, so the D should have been able to withstand at least 6 blasts before losing shields. Oddly enough, the Odyssey fireballed the Ori with 6 beam weapon blasts, that might have been quantum-beam equivalent blasts (blue). That means the Enterprise-E should have lowered Ori shields and caused damage with quantum torpedo salvos. By phasers, the G with it's near-transphasic phasers plus quantums should have been able to destroy an Ori and with its 4 nacelles and corresponding increase in shield power, take 12 Ori beam blasts before its shields collapsed--but it should easily outmaneuver the mothership too: that means in system warp behind it and cut loose.

The D should have had a 50% chance of destroying it, as the specs on TNG photons were 37 points of damage on a Mk II Galaxy from 2370; even 1 phaser bank caused 26 points damage at full power--and they had 65-point shields.

The Defiant's (2372) quantums caused 50 points damage.

A Sovereign's phasers caused 40 points at full and had 75 point shields; its quantums caused 85 POINTS DAMAGE--so yes, I call BULLSHIT the E couldn't have blown an Ori ship.

What is pretty clear? Those programming some of these ships and weapons do NOT do their research and therefore the game cannot be used to objectively measure for these cases as clearly explained here.

Before I watch the video, I'm guessing Enterprise F before you even stand a chance

@Its_Mike_Hunt
@

I know it's kind of iffy but as soon as you started could you have In system warped immediately to end up behind it?

@tigerlilly4712
@

I never agreed with how powerful they made the Ori... i always thought they were kind of punks

@kindasupersonic7114
@

RBG, did you even fire with the Enterprise B? It was hard to tell as with the zoom in it looked like you were admiring their ship while they were shooting up yours.

@RandomStuff-hh7bk
@

the ori was millions of years old, and yet it only took about 500 years for the federation to easily defeat them. less than that.

@matthewbarabas3052
@

I love both shows, but virtually nothing in Star Trek (outside of beings like the Q) can stand up to an Ori ship in single combat. I feel like it is disingenuous to claim otherwise. The Ori basically are the Q (not as strong as the Q, but similar). Star Trek has a lot of really cool tech that beats what we see in StarGate in a lot of respects, but when it comes to Speed, Damage, and Shield power on the ships, there is virtually nothing we have ever seen on Star Trek that is even close to an Ori ship.

Just because these universes scale differently doesn't make one IP better or worse than the other. They are both good, but different is different.

In the battle of P3Y-229. I would be comfortable arguing that almost all of the ships that got their cheeks clapped by the Ori even outscale most of what we see in StarTrek.

@asdf86yt
@

it was pretty clear from the start only the J will be advanced enought to deal with an ori ship.

Hallowed are The Ori

@CrAsHeD69

Love to see upgraded voyagers against the Ori.

@wrodrigues08
@

I feel like that was more about the flying/tactics than straight up power. Like the D could fire phasers on target from basically any angle and should not be running right into the main gun of the enemy.

@insane0042

Probably the only thing I liked about future Discovery ships was the Kirk-class. The J has grown on me over time.

@Decrepit_biker

Impossible to say really. Unlike say B5, where you can scale everything based on tactical nukes effectiveness against Minbari heavies, and then go from there, I don't think SG1 has similar comparative scale. Has anyone ever used exact RL measuring units in Star Gate?

@ilejovcevski79
@

So the Enterprise A tanked one shot from the massive VGER cloud, but couldn't absorb more than a few hits from this ship?

@davidfinch7407

This was hilarious to watch. I agree these are accurate results. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the REAL Enterprise-G get destroyed in two seconds. As you said the Enterprise-F held on longer. That surprised the hell out of me. I had no idea the Enterprise-H is cannon. That's cool to see the Enterprise-J win.

I will admit I didn't like the Enterprise- J design at first especially since all we saw of it were from a monitor. However seeing 3D renders of it I got to say I do like it a lot more. It's really grown on me. The only thing I really still don't like are the thin nacelles. I do agree that the Enterprise-J is better than anything we got in Discovery.

@TrentonBennett
@

"I think we'd help out Captain Archer this time!"
Yes, absolutely. Seeing a ship a hundred years ahead of his own being obliterated in seconds definitely was a big motivation boost for him.

"We know what the full spread's capable of."
That's what the Ori think when looking at their pulse weapon's panel, too.

"We held up to that beam though, that's im..."
Let's push the WHAT THE HECK! button

@ericruybal3420

Okay, we really need to do a video where you start with the NX, then when you lose you go again in the NX Refit with the NX with you, then in the TOS Enterprise with the NXes with you, and so on, building up an Enterprise fleet until you defeat the Ori warship.

I predict the Enterprise E can pull it off if you have a fleet of every preceding Enterprise with you.
