This was an outstanding effort by Spain and I tip my hat to this team. By contesting every ball at midfield and ultimately dictating that part of the game, France had a difficult time getting the ball to Dembele and Mbappe up front to attack. It is one thing to develop such a game plan and quite another to actually pull it off. Spain did both admirably. France is a great team, though, and they ultimately should feel pride at being among the final four teams (even if I know they wanted more).
