As a Thunder fan, I just don't understand it. How can the Spurs look so unstoppable against the Thunder and the rest of the league but keep losing to the Knicks?

Some major changes are coming for the Spurs
I believe Fox is going too be traded because as a veteran he never stepped up in the big moments and just had meltdowns in those moments,when Spurs needed him too and get him for a power forward and I kept saying why is Fox playing so much because I knew he wasn’t going too show up since mentally he was gone from the game 4 where he choked and didn’t pull back too get fouled and shoot free throws,also throwing errant passes and when you make no shot at all in the fourth period and end up with 7 points the whole game and their paying you millions of dollars that is unacceptable from a player of his caliber and taking bad shots while Harper was ballin out there coming off the bench for 25 points so yes Harper should be the starter next season and Spurs need a big power forward too help Wemby not too take so much punishment since he wears down in the fourth period and as a coach Mitch Johnson needs too be better and know how too execute down the final minutes and also Castle needs too have better decision making on his passes because that’s another thing that killed the Spurs and know when too drive and drive when there are three defenders waiting for you too block your shot also improve on his three point shot and mid range a little better other than he too did a tremendous job !!!

Our bench needs some work the spurs team that had a good bench midway in the season just wasn’t there anymore .Harper just has to start next season he has so much potential to be special for us
@Santiago_mDon't hold your breath. Mitch is our Jason Garret.
@ChristionemTo the San Antonio Spurs players, coaches, and fans,
Falling short in the Finals hurts deeply, especially after putting together such an incredible season to get here. But please, don't let this defeat define your future.
History has shown us that the absolute greatest to ever play this game often had to taste the bitterness of a Finals loss before they could build a championship dynasty:
1. Shaquille O'Neal got swept in his first Finals appearance in 1995, only to become one of the most dominant champions in history later on.
2. LeBron James lost his first Finals right here in San Antonio in 2007, using that pain to fuel four future championships.
3. Kevin Durant fell short in his first trip in 2012, but he stayed the course and eventually won back-to-back titles and Finals MVPs.
This isn't the end of your story; it's the necessary preparation for your breakthrough.
Lean into the truth of Romans 5:3-4:
"We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."
Keep your heads held high, Spurs nation. The foundation has been laid. Grind through the summer, learn from this moment, and come back to claim what's yours next year. The future is incredibly bright in San Antonio! 🖤🤍
I hope the front office does not make the catastrophic mistake of keeping Fox, because spending that kind of money on a player who vanished when it mattered most in the Finals, and frankly, underperformed the entire season, is entirely unjustifiable. For this franchise to have any semblance of a legitimate future and to actually stay together as a team, Dylan Harper absolutely needs to be inserted into the starting lineup next year, because if management fails to make this move, they will completely alienate the entire fanbase, obliterate the front office’s credibility down to zero, and cause the players to lose all trust in leadership. Even worse, failing to start Harper means we risk triggering the ultimate nightmare scenario where the most vital piece of our long term future grows disillusioned and rightfully requests a trade out of San Antonio, a disaster that is virtually guaranteed to happen if the front office doesn't tread incredibly carefully with their upcoming decision making. The reality is that Harper has already completely bypassed Stephon Castle, who came into the league stubbornly insisting on playing the point guard position despite repeatedly proving that his outside shooting is completely subpar and his tendency to turn the ball over is a massive liability; and while Castle might be decent on the defensive end from time to time, Harper is already the far superior and more complete basketball player. At this point, I would be completely fine if we cut ties with Fox, Castle, and Kornet all at once, which is a wild and surprising thing for me to admit right now because I truly loved the way Luke Kornet played during the regular season. However, Luke became a completely unrecognizable and detached version of himself in the Finals, looking less like a competitor and more like a guy who was actively on someone's bet book and completely sold us out on the biggest stage. It was agonizing to watch him settle for weak, passive one handed layups in situations where he should have been tearing the rim down with a strong dunk, completely refusing to secure rebounds with two hands, and literally staring at loose balls right in front of his feet without ever bothering to dive on the floor or cross that fundamental effort line required to win a championship. If anyone doubts this, all they have to do is go back and look at the tape because his complete lack of hustle makes me absolutely sick to my stomach, and as a dedicated Spurs fan, I feel deeply and utterly betrayed by Luke's performance. And while the front office has their work cut out for them, we also have to honestly address Victor Wembanyama's letdowns in this series, acknowledging that the responsibility ultimately falls on him to take the necessary steps to evolve into a more complete basketball player. That evolution fundamentally depends on him getting significantly stronger, because his glaring physical weakness was fully exposed, proving to the entire league that he can still be bullied on the floor. Opponents have realized that all they have to do is aggressively put physical pressure on his lower body, which inevitably forces his hands to drop. The second his hands go down, his impact is neutralized; he loses his ability to operate out of the triple threat, he gets completely boxed out of rebounding position, and he simply cannot contain his core balance to dominate the game the way he should.
@OratreyaHow do people expect Sacramento Fox when he's the 3rd option all year and this coach chose to go with Castle as point guard who is a nightmare ball handler decision maker and turn over machine. This falls on coaching for me, not playing Barnes in finals, not playing Wemby and Kornet in combination and allowing Wemby to shoot them outta games from deep. smh. All coaching
@tmack7563Crazy how everyone is blaming fox. Wemby choked in two games. The entire team blew those big leads not just fox. This last game castle was like 2 for 10. They all are to balem. Fox blew game 4.
@p.t.cornelius7018Fox and Kornet has to go. We out coached as well
@Raiden324I have been screaming at my screen.
Mitch lost us this series
100%
I’m all for keeping him if he can replace Fox
I DO NOT WANT HIM ON OUR SQUAD
HES A FN BUM
HARPER NEEDS TO START
TRADE FOX FOR A COUPLE 2nd rd picks
Idgaf if we just release his Bishahh
But who is bettter Fox or Castle? I think Fox has advantage in terms of maturity over Castle and overll, Fox is just a better SG over Castle. They do need Champagnie as a floor spacer in the starting 5. But the 4, we need a big guy like Hannes Steinbach or Moretz Johnson in the draft. If not from draft, Maybe trade for GG Jackson, Isaiad Todd, Ziaire Williams or Zach Perrin. Young guys with length and athleticism that are under the radar.
@gardofuentes363Harper and Vassell were the only ones playing with heart
@S2k_TXperformanceFox is hating on Harper
@S2k_TXperformanceFox should come off the bench with KJ and Carter B.....that would be a deadly second unit.
@Jcrlsb227Agree We need Harper starting next year and hopefully CP3 can come in to mentor Harper like he does Wimby
@tonygonzales5955Start HARPER
@S2k_TXperformanceGet Better Big Men ‼️‼️‼️
@bkbrown8375the expansion draft may save us$$$$
@mannygarza-l3dFOX DESTROYED OUR FRANCHISE LEGACY. AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
@helve.IThe coaching was atrocious
@wack...It’s the Spurs. They go with the vets and believe you have to pay dues to get time on the floor. Fox will start, Harper will come off the bench, there will be internal issues that a young inexperienced coach like Mitch Johnson will struggle to manage, and I can definitely see them not making the Finals next year. If it’s really bad, I can see Wby asking for a new coach, which is a step backwards in progress. Mitch never should’ve been head coach of this talented young team. They needed a veteran head coach.
@chrishamilton6405Devin Vassell hint out very interesting insight on postgame interview that D Harper is not Happy with his minute >>>>? SO it's not only the fans and analytics that noticed this now ......He himself also knew that too Lol ......Fuck the coaching stuff :(
@pisittuntipisitkul9014All season long, the spurs had at least one bad quarter in most games. Its fine when you're playing average or bad teams, but when you play a good defensive team like the knicks, winning become very very difficult. We need to look for more defensive minded players, plus some that can hit free throws.
@jamessepulveda7969We need mike boldenhauser and we need AD or Giannis
@JugManeStart with Fox
@Minh-o3i9qKeldon Johnson was pathetic this entire playoffs
@joebauers8031This was embarrassing and pathetic.
@joebauers8031Mitch Johnson was coaching like he had a sleep mask on, he reminds of Ime Udoka, they can't make adjustments and they're stubborn when it comes to playing certain players lol 😂
@CAdams93MITCH JOHNSON NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!!!!!!!
@TheInvisibleMan305Get Fox off my team
@tnafkstWhen the whole team sucks and can’t run offense it is a COACHING PROBLEM
@Truckrich6.0Go back to regular season game vs Denver on Apr 4.
Spurs lost in OT... Entirely due to Fox unable to close the game given multiple opportunities, can't continue to do this to us man... Old dogs aren't learning anything new apparently
It was not a great series. The OKC series was the real dogfight.
@kpgcoreclashing6146Coach Mitch "we'll watch film" Johnson
@AA-qx8mdFox flunked the finale.. Wemby was mediocre at best. And the spurs couch isn’t fit for high pressure situations.. also i unfortunately think wemby has peaked, it’s all down hill from here on out, wemby is either gonna get injured, or some other player is going to to return one of his cheap shots and he is really going to be hurt..
@pokane18Fox is so nonchalant and bad .
Why do teams extend players right away. In the last 12 games they lose in similar fashion. Shot chucking/ not running offense, Turnovers. Vic not establishing the paint / not generating 4th quarter scoring
Fox will be traded , Harper will take over his minutes
@Michael-kx7imFox was horrible but the reason why the Spurs loss was the coach. The Spurs need a more better coach. I know a better coach wouldn’t play Fox in crunch time.
@JaseOsborne-qf2wySochan a champion before wemby is crazy
@TurboLouisMitch Johnson is not at the level of Greg Popovich, Phil Jackson or Steve Kerr.
He's more like a Doug Collins (Bulls), Mark Jackson (Warriors) kind of coach.
It's a shame Sean Sweeney is going to Orlando as he would've made a good replacement.
I’m not going to seriously watch the spurs again until Dylan Harper is a starter
@msorobiaNew Yorkers say MVP voters almost awarded the MVP trophy to Fox.....it was close.😮😮😮
@gpmuenchow2064One person doesn't lose a series. Fox is getting the blame but he didn't lose 29 point lead. Fox can't be responsible for the team coming out playing with their hair on fire and then no energy left for the last quarter. Wemby was gassed by the fourth quarter. Fox is playing hurt too. We are all armchair players... coaching matters.
@donnacochran3335Being that stubborn to lose with Fox while Harper didn't close out games was enough to lose your job
@LonghornsLegendMitch said he would die with fox..!! 😂😂 so he did..😅😅
@shanecolston2306
