Many years ago I traveled to Germany, landing in Frankfort, just my luck there was a riverfront festival going on which I attended, a band came on and played Living Next Door to Alice, the hilarious part of the song was after every chorus the entire crowd on both sides of the would yell out "Who the F--- is Alice in perfect English, I could not stop laughing.

I don't understand why so few people from my generation listen to these songs (I mean the songs from the 60s - 90s). I think the songs from back then are the best and in my opinion they always will be.

After playing this song several times in June 2026, I reminisced, nostalgia crept in for my late dad, I left my kids in the living room for my bedroom sobbed in silence. My youngest daughter came through without knocking in rare circumstances and banged the door open without knocking. She had always knocked before entering, but came through and sat in the door and started playing by swinging the door, she said no word and this sent me to quickly wipe out my tears. In a long time I never felt that sorrowful. He used to like to play my childhood and the song reconnected me to his spirit. I Love you dad .
