The entire admins attacks on political enemies have always been rejected by the Court. James Comey, Latricia James, Jerome Powell. If youโre Tom Cassidyโs and still worried about the DOJ, I think you got something to hide and will take the humiliation over possible jail time down the line. I donโt know what it could be, but it canโt be nothing if youโre willing to back down while having nothing to lose and popular support behind you.

It doesn't stop the war anyway because Trump can veto it. To overcome that you need two thirds majority vote against Trump in both houses, which is impossible now

@tonykung8756trump hasn't "blown through" our constitution, even though he thinks he can. trump needs to be impeached and arrested. how can this be characterized as "symbolic" the constitution is clear. Is Trump asserting he HAS permission from congress? I believe this demonstrates he does NOT have permission from congress. The resolution demanded he SEEK approval. So the president is waging a war when congress has made it's decision known.

@abezonaDoesn't matter if it passed. Trump already has authorization for the action in Iran the same authority Bush, Obama and Biden had. The 2001 aumf is still in effect and was signed into law in September 2001 by President Bush. Trump had authorization for 25 years. He doesn't need them.
