INteresting! only a couple years later in 1847 Dr Semmelweis in Vienna came up with the same germ theory and connection to deaths after bith but in contrast to the americans the europeans/austrians listened to him and deathrates dropped to 2%!

@GABENOVICTIMCLIPSI wouldn't let you jump que and take bagels before you stand in line, I hate such personalities! Absolutely despise those! I hate waiting in queues. And I hate sacrificing a LOT of my time for something just because it's free, I value my time a LOT that's life, so I'd rather take my friend to a big launch and pay it then either wait in line for free stuff, or even worse jump the queue... that's absolutely unacceptable!

@mymeaningfulmessProbably the biggest indicator of what's wrong with society is this bagel line rule. The line isn't a metaphor for rules... the line waiting for a FREE bagel is a metaphor for civility and common decency. We all want something so we form a line and WAIT our turn like CIVILIZED human beings.

Break a rule like not standing in line in Japan and that will make everyone hate you.
@ExjapterIf I'm in the bagel line and I see you cutting the line and reaching for a bagel, then I will physically and verbally confront you in order to prevent you from getting that bagel. Nobody, including you Simon, cuts the line in front of me.
