SIBERIAN CAT - Characteristics, Care and Health

I LOVE MY SIBERIAN princess 🤗 she saved my life after I rescued her from the Las Cruces Humane Society.

Amazing cats, gentle, talkative and loving. I adore my siberian Nina, she's a joy in my life.

I may have had a Siberian. She was about 2 when she showed up on our porch. We took her to our vet& we tried several times to find her owner. No collar, no chip, no nothing. She was a pretty anxious kitty. She was white and odd eyed. Not deaf or blind, but her anxiety was very high. We already had a Korat and a European Blue Burmese and they were a bonded pair. The Korat ruled the roost, as they usually do, and never accepted our white intruder. She spent most of her remaining 18 years avoiding them. She gained a whole lot of weight suddenly after we had her about
2 weeks. I began to piece together that I think she was dumped. She fit the breed standard for Siberian in every way so I imagine that she was given as a kitten to someone with toddlers, who
were not supervised around her. She was terrified of kids & when my family singing group met, she would go and hide. We will never know, of course, but she was a sweet cat and we continue to miss all our wonderful kitty companions.

We have a Siberian. She showed up on our doorstep one day with zero identification. The vet said she was healthy and between 2-4 years old. That was four years ago. She didn't want to come in at first. After a while though she now comes inside. She never gets up on the counters, she has one chair she likes. She won't use a litter box. Sleeps a lot during the day. Not very friendly. She really only likes me which is strange as my wife is the one who feeds her. I scratch her head and face, she loves that. She doesn't really enjoy being touched below her collar, only on the head. And forget about touching her paws, that's a big no no. The only time she speaks is when she needs something.

I can’t wait to get one of these cute lil babies when I move out in a little over a year! I have a dog right now, and even though Siberians get along with dogs, my dog hates cats 😅

At 1:24-1:33 thats actually my cat. But we never filmed that. He is an outside cat, and for a while he didn't have a collar, so I think someone literally took him in their house and filmed him because he is super friendly and wouldn't mind. I really want to know where that was filmed and who did it. Because if it isn't my cat, then my cat has a twin. We brought our cat and compared all his features and it's exactly him and exactly how he acts and moves.

And they produce less of the FEL D1 protein in their saliva than other breeds, so many allergy sufferers who would otherwise be unable to tolerate them, can share the fun as well. They look fantastic too. What's not to like?
