Why is lack of diversity a con? That is totally ok with me. And much of those cons are similar to where I live. Traffic, parking, construction, high rent. Sheesh. 😅 But warm climate beats those since winter here is pretty cold.

I live in Maryland, and an incredible number of people from our state move to Florida. It is funny that when they visit the restaurant where I work, they always tell me Florida summers are way more tolerable than that of Maryland. I would like to find that out for myself. It looks utterly beautiful there.

It doesn’t matter where you move to in the country. The greed in the leadership is despicable. You move to another state and a year later you start to see everything going up there too

Hi! I know its been a year you posted this, but you seem like a good and gentle person so I'm asking anyway. Can you give some information about gigs, how people react to tourists and if they're okay to hire one for a month or two. I'm going there this week and I'm kinda ansious with that
@lucaslp4462HOT AND HOTTER.
@DRONESVUThe beautiful? Dude u mean ugly . Their are pockets of beauty in jax. One of the only few redeemable things
@nicholasleon787Pros: ……
Cons: basically everything you can imagine.
I’ll save you some time. The answer is no. You should NOT move there. If you happen to already live there, please stay.
@TheDiamond872I have a question for you. I got a job offer for 100,000 a year. Is that reasonable for the cost of living. In the Jacksonville area?
@kareenmorales4013How’s the schools for kids? I have two kids in elementary but will only keep them in school until middle school then homeschooling.

@chezzab9087Shhhhh!!! Keep it a secret. One of the east coast hidden gem cities. Lived in Jax for only 6 months for work and I daydream about going back one day
@johnc3212I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
@BlakeGabriel-23Thank you for all your information especially the part about the hurricanes and the higher insurance but like everything else the beaches health insurance in the park and we can go anywhere in the United States is right on the border of Florida or come in and visit Orlando good job 👌
@GustavoNegron-s5zCon: The pay in IT isn't that great. Major cities pay more in such a scale to do the more events you find in cities.
@KingDonvictTheFelonHere for the summer, liking it so far! Seems to be a great mix of city and suburb with a large area to explore and a tropical feel. Coming from central NC, I think this may be where I end up for the foreseeable future! To be determined!
@minipangaJust got back from JAX. Amazing roads without the pot holes like SoCal. Noticed prices are about 1/3 less, too.
@watchfull-tq5syMoving soon from Japan!

Florida’s murder capital, Jacksonville, was ranked significantly higher than the rest at 23rd.the city is called the “Murder Capital of Florida” due to its high murder rate. Compared to other larger cities such as Orlando or Miami, the amount of murders is lower.However, when compared on a per capita basis, Duval County (which Jacksonville calls home) takes the lead.
