Skye is lying to herself. Not only was she too close, but she kept pushing the pickup well after her initial energy had been dissipated, although she may have been grabbed by the crushed metal. She was not paying attention, and barely braked at all. If this is the best that her tyres and brakes can do, then she is guilty of attempted murder by not maintaining her vehicle. It is not hard to understand: keep your vehicle in good condition at all times, or walk.

Will S is a bloody idiot and needs to go back to driving school. He basically turned what could have been a simple rear end collision into a major accident by setting his vehicle to exactly the right angle to get pitted off into the ditch.

We need two things.

1: PAY ATTENTION. Put your phone down and focus on the drive.

2: Better situational awareness.
Know where other road users are. Keep an eye on those in front that you're catching up to, and those catching up behind. Rather than being in your own little world.

The inside lane is for passing only. The speed you are going in that lane has nothing to do with it. If you are not actively passing in that lane you are breaking the law
