Sergio Busquets Burgos born 16 July 1988 is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder and is the vice-captain of both Barcelona and the Spain national team. Busquets is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive midfielders of his generation, and by some to be among the finest of the modern era.

@stevenmuyemba880I seriously train all young players to be similar to Sergio. He basically has 15 - 20 basic skills obscenely mastered. If you can get kids to master those by about age 12 or 13, then their creativity will be able to really shine. Then the more advanced moves will be fairly easy for them to pick up, and they'll naturally have a better understanding of when and how to use those skills.

With practice anyone can do body feints, power shots, step overs, rabona, La croqueta, elastico, etc, but even with years of practice you might not become as press resistant as this guy. It has to be an inborn talent. One of my friends plays like him, very slow on the ball, but you just can't get the ball off him, he will just shake you off with a simple turn, even if you tackle him the stray ball will just go back to him, he's not even physically strong but he controls the midfield in an artistic way. I don't know if Busquets is into other arts but my friend is a bassists too and has terrific taste in music and loves to read, and is an architect😂. We just play 7 men turf football on weekends.

@Sigma_Engineer-w2iIf you look carefully throughout the video, whenever the opposition is pressing and trying to snatch the ball from busquets, no other barcelona player is even trying to come near busquets for support. They know it damn well that busquets is not going to loose the ball.
