Really need this answered. Some English people when they say a word ending in “Y” like maybe “bring” would be “brink” or “young” would be “younk”. This has bugged me for years. Was in a lift once and over the speaker said “ goink up”. Could not believe it. I’m Republic of Ireland. Please explain.🙏🙏🙏

Lucy,you are amazing teacher. I am a lorry driver who was visiting your beautiful island for over six years nearly twice weekly. Now I work for another company which does not deliver to United Kingdom. What you are talking about- is what I used to be able to learn from any habitant I met, visiting your country.
