Satzbau Part I | Hauptsatz | German Sentence Structure I | YourGermanTeacher

Video Overview & Insights

The German sentence structure can be a quiet confusing topic for German Students. In this video (Satzbau Part I) you can learn the basics of the the German sentence structure, which is all about the main clause, in German: "Hauptsatz". The focus of this video is on the subject (subjekt) and the verb (Verb). In which position you have to put the subject and where you need to put the verb.

There are three types of main clauses which I will talk about and for which you can learn the specific position of verb and subject. In German the sentence structure is getting more confusing when adding adverbs, objects and other sentence parts. A quick tip about this topic, the German sentence word order you can find at the end of this video in my bonus tip.

Viel Spass und bis bald

i dont know if you would ever see this but i wonder why it is (for example) wir sprechen heute deutsch and not wir sprechen deutsch heute, the direct translate is we speak today german but it means we speak german today. i dont know why it flips and thats what im confused about, does it have a reason or is it just like this

I have a question that this sentence is writing (Lisa geht am dienstag zu fuß ins kino) so this writen by tekomolo
So why we have to write the other 3 sentences
I really can't understand
For example this
Am dienstag geht Lisa zu fun ins kino
Oder
Zu fun geht Lisa am dienstag ins kink
