These owners can’t run a football club. Take a look at NICE. How was that run ? We all know the answer, ratcliffe and Ineos are a disgrace. So Mark wouldn’t mind us going for Bergvall but doesn’t want Santos. Santos has played more than Bergvall the past 2 seasons, even captaining Strasbourg while on loan. Not to mention it’s harder to get into Chelsea’s midfield than Spurs. Don’t get me wrong, I like both players and I agree neither one should be our tier 1 signing, but neither would be bad as a tier 2 for where we are at now. So is it just European bias?

@sampah_aIn order to save our midfield we have to got abroad. The only ones I’d bring are Pablo Barrios from Atleti and Marc Bartra from Barcelona. I know Bartra is a risk but he was their biggest rising start, at just 16, before he had that ACL. There’s still a player in there, I’d take that risk for €40-50m. His potential was Busquets’s level, he was his natural successor.
