The Europeans are always sour when American cars beat the living crap out of Porsche and Ferraris at Le Mans. This was always the case back in the 2000s. When Americans came out with the Saleen S7 the European organizers quickly slapped it with restrictors, weight ballast and other performance degrading solution to "even out" the playing field against. This left the S7 battling against European team run Vipers and Corvettes. It was the dumbest eras in motorsport. They handicapped the heck out of the S7 the car barely showed its true potential. I'm just glad it finally won LeMans in the end. Great car ❤

It's so beautiful and elegant that I kinda wish they put a modified V10 Triton engine in it instead. Honestly thought I would never say this about an american car. The 427 sound doesn't fit all that well.

I love Top Gear growing up, but I could tell they were cherry picking and omitting American and Japanese cars. I know BBC wanted them to show case British cars. But things like Saleen were never showcased.

Not a true 7 liter. They use 6.0 liter vette c6 engine. There are faster cars than this, which use the same layout.

This car was a thorn in the C5R and C6R's side and part of the reason it stopped racing is that Saleen couldn't make the number of cars required but race LeMans anyway.
