Russia’s fuel crisis isnt being made any better as Ukraine expands long range strikes on Russia's most important oil facilities, with successful strikes on the Russian strategic oil reserves.
Ukraine’s latest long-range strikes against Russia’s energy infrastructure, including attacks on strategic fuel reserves north of Moscow and reports of explosions at the Azot chemical facilities are causing huge systemic problems for the russian military and its industries. As Ukraine continues targeting the logistics network that keeps Russia’s war machine running, Russian troops are increasingly struggling to obtain fuel needed to sustain operations at the front.
Russian military bloggers say that units are being sent back into Russia to search for fuel supplies, only to encounter shortages there as well. At the same time, Ukraine’s General Staff reported another devastating day for Russian forces, with 1,440 casualties and additional records set for destroyed logistics equipment.

The fuel crisis is no longer confined to occupied Crimea. Long lines at gas stations are appearing across more Russian cities, including St. Petersburg, while residents of Crimea continue trying to leave the peninsula as Ukraine’s blockade tightens its grip. Russian authorities are scrambling for solutions as shortages spread deeper into the country.
As Russians flee Crimea, the peninsula's property market in some cities is down -40%, according to a local realtor.
I saw a great photograph, it was obviously modified by a Ukrainian, but it was one of the funniest ones I’ve ever seen. It was a sign at a Lukoil gas station somewhere in Crimea… And you know how they have four different grades of gas, each one with its own price…? Well, each line had letters in it instead of numbers:

@diverdown48One good thing that will come out of Russians having rationed access to gasoline for their cars is going to be a STEEP DECLINE of brutal motor vehicle accidents caused by having excessive speeding while ignoring road conditions and their propensity for overtaking on two lane two way roads that ends in completely avoidable fatalities, unfortunately including the drivers and family occupants through no fault of their own. I doubt the politbeareu gives a fk enough to even look into those statistics.

@lesterweinheimer665One of the big questions about the new bosses after Putin is whether they'll continue Russia's war against Ukraine, and if they do, whether they'll ramp up attacks or wind them down. Russia's economy is largely a military economy now, so theoretically they can't just suddenly stop their war. We'll also see if they continue with their plans to try to attack the rest of Europe too.
