Rush's New 2026 Set-List and Performance Break-Down!

Was at Saturday’s 4th show. The concert was great and Anika Nilles rocks it. They could have done without all of 2112. I think that was a homage to the older Rush fans, cause it cut out many of the favorites during the 80’s and 90’s - ie Red Barchetta, Presto, Roll the Bones, etc. A little bummed at that, otherwise, it was a great show. Anika seriously has probably 100,000 men who would propose to her in an instant. She was incredible.

So, there are about 9 more RUSH songs that Anika has learned that RUSH has not played yet. Hope those come out during tonight's LA show (#3).

I would disagree about a number of things (well it's the internet😆) including the fans perhaps cutting Anika "some slack as she is a woman". The amount of misogynistic crap I have seen before and after the first show from some quarters was/is horrific. Many of those are jealous of a woman being able to do it!
Perhaps you do not get "2112" due to your age and perhaps upbringing. As an auld git this was my introduction to the band in the 70s. It actually did help to change my life and that is not hyperbole. I will never tire of hearing it.
I thought "Xanadu" was an inspired choice. Something completely different to start. Lovely build of atmosphere into the crescendos and to many the song that regularly was voted the "best song" (rock radio top 20 best ever songs nearly always featured this) or the song to play folks to show who and why Rush are so good. Again maybe an age thing.
I enjoy much of the 80s onwards too, I am not stuck in the past, but I am happy to see them doing stuff from the first 2 Peart albums (second night had "Anthem" and "Passage" as part of the set).
Clockwork Angels is I feel one of their finest albums. The guitar is up front, it rocks like a bastard and has some top class songs including "The Garden" which was just the most beautiful way to end things. It became even more emotional after Neil's sad passing. Even more pertinent. Interestingly some mates who are not Rush fans love the song whilst not liking much else.
Interesting views, different to others, so fair play there, but I disagree with quite a lot of it😂.

Sorry bro, but 2112 is better than anything Pink Floyd ever did, most overrated 70's band.

What I love about fellow Rush fans is we all have different favorites, and I mean radically different (I had a buddy who was the elusive 90s era lover) 😂

Time Stand Still is my all time favorite song. Seeing that Aimee Mann came on stage for it was absolutely mind-blowing.

I'm content sitting the live experience out, but I'm just happy they're out there loving life again.

I'd say the odds of them doing a new record are slim to none. Neil was their songwriter.

I'm cheated that they don't play Closer to the Heart anymore. Saw them in Halifax in 2015 on their Clockwork Angel Tour, very sad they didn't play it then.

I mean Xanadu is one of my all time fave songs period, so I disagree there, is what it is. It is totally a bit of an odd one to open with, but its a good warm-up song, has many elements present in their other stuff... the fact they're playing it at all makes me stoked as I've never seen it played live! I have my ticket for the final Toronto gig, can't wait for the return home!

I'd love to see them live but alas they would never come to East Coast Canada even though it would sell out quick here.

I'm disappointed you didn't like Cowork Angels.

sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that likes Clockwork Angels. But The Garden is ironically one of the songs I do not like off that album. That, The Wreckers, and Halo Effect are skips but the rest are all solid for me.

I'm pretty sure they'll try a new album as well. I never got to see Rush but this tour is a hard pass for me with the price. Maybe if Geddy sounded like it was 1981 again then I'd shell out the money.
In regard to 2112 I get it's not the most proggy thing in the world, but I like how heavy it is compared to something like Pink Floyd. To me Rush is kind of like the Apple of prog rock. They simplified and streamlined prog for dopes like myself. They're also not British, which is a plus.

I’ve never heard a Rush song before, and maybe I’m missing out on something. (I like rock music that dares to be more complicated and creative/adventurous, but for some reason I never checked them out.)
Any suggestions?

3:20 - i feel like spirit of the radio was a no brainer choice for the opener.
