ROYAL ASCOT PREVIEW SHOW 2026 FT. 66-1 GOLD CUP TIP

Video Overview & Insights

The At The Races Royal Ascot Preview Show in association with BETANO is HERE! Join Sean Boyce, Matt Chapman, Kevin Blake and Kate Tracey to run through all the Group One's from Royal Ascot. The team go through the key races from five days at the Royal meeting whilst mentioning a few in the handicaps and Two-Year-old races too. Kevin is confident in the Australians, who send plenty of challengers over for the sprints whilst Kate is hoping Bow Echo can hit the target once again in the St James’s Palace. Matt is hoping Aidan O’Brien’s Guineas winner can bounce back against her stable companion in the Coronation Stakes.

Looking for the preview for Sat.

The 5f furlongs being better for Overpass than 6f is true, but he is a regional star in Australia and his resume pales to what Nature Strip brought over. Nature Strip was a national superstar, won a slew of group 1s in the Metro Sydney and Melbourne carnivals rather than the countryside like Overpass. Joliestar, unlike Overpass, is a proper leading sprinter in Australia’s deepest waters in Sydney and Melbourne. She has competed in better races and won more group 1s than Overpass. I do like Overpass’ pure speed going 5f and his tactics will be simply. Joliestar, while a better horse, runs more off the pace and if she is not liking things out there she remains back of the pack. But on class, Joliestar is better than Overpass. And not only was Nature Strip a wildly more accomplished horse than Overpass, he would have towered over Joliestar as well. Look up his money won and group 1 victories. 8 figures in earnings and double figures in group 1s. And he had some blowout wins in some of Australia’s biggest sprints. He had Overpass’ early speed and on his best day could carry it through the line to win by 4. Overpass just holds on when he does win and Joliestar usually just gets up. Neither were Nature Strip who has been Australia’s best sprinter since Black Caviar.

Chappers going against the grain as per against Daryz. Ombudsman grinds out his races whereas Daryz has a phenomenal turn of foot and can put a race to bed in a matter of strides, we shall see on Wednesday and will watch Chappers eat his words

From Australia. Overpass has been a very consistent sprinter for long time but he is no Nature Strip. Evan at 5f might be a little suspect late

Christ is it going ahead as I have seen advertising and know a World Cup starts tomorrow but limited Royal Ascot advertising and the bookies get tighter and still are not going NRNB before the biggest flat meeting of the year and yet they do for Cheltenham months before hand.😉
