I like the positive energy of the album, and yeah i agree is not their best work, but still a solid and enjoyable one.

This is actually my second favourite album by them. It's different but in a good way. More of a good vibes album where as their previous ones were depressing af. I think the album just didn't come at the right time for most people.
Intro Music:
Hopesfall - I Catapult (if you like Post Hardcore Space Rock)
Hey, you should do this kind of video for all their albums so I can come and listen to them again plus we could compare their sounding :)
Going back to this album made me realize it's still such a really good album and songs I kinda hated (spit the bone / burn down my house even living is killing us etc) back in 2022 just joined my playlist 🔥

So personally, this album really isn't that bad. I don't think Architects really has an album under a 7. If you think of this album as a pseudo concept album, and think about the name of the album, it makes a lot of sense why it is the way that it is. Not depression or one particular type of emotion. Just emotionlessness and monotony. Sick of having everyone tell the band how and what to write. Dealing with the loss of Tom. Everything else that's transpired in the last decade or so. It's soulcrushing and eventually can make someone completely broken and empty. The symptoms are showing here as the songs and lyrics in this album. Probably way overcomplicating it but that's my piece on this album.
@WastedLightThey sound all the same and not in a good way like on 'holy hell'.
Absolutly love 'when we were young'. 'born again pessimist' is good.
in "all the love in the world" they are also referencing the fan hate already (from genius annotations):
"They say it's best that we forgot our potential"
‘They’ referring to the older fans who are constantly on the bands back about how much they hate their new and developed sound, demanding they play their old music and go back to that style. Architects comments on this by saying that this change is them pushing their own boundaries of what they are capable of, their potential as a band, and how these negative fans disregard this.
Also the line right after kinda shooting against the "norm" of metal:
"Have we nothing left to sing about now?
Do I really wanna shout about
All the love in the world?"
Sam and the band ask themselves would they really want to scream and play heavy music and talk about how amazing life can be?
Metal music is normally all about the negative side of life and how unfair certain things are, and how frustrated people are with it all.
Would their newer stuff really fit in with the rest of the scene if they just screamed it and played heavy instrumentals on every song?
Always felt that this was a solid album, but just wasn't up to par with the rest of Architects catalogue. Thoroughly enjoyed it the last couple years, but it really felt like bonus content to me
@dragonblazer96'Burn down my house' is such an earworm
@mikehunt956Good reaction Thornhill is dropping their 4th single Tongues This Friday it will be Thursday for us they just posted some behind the scenes pics of the video.
@aliyahburnette8018For the start of the video. I personally think people didnt and dont have a problem with the band going softer or anything like that, more the fact that they leaned more into the generic side of metalcore. Some of their newer lyrics suck compared to Holly Hell and older. I am still a fan but feel like their newer music and Sky,The Earth and All Between mostly just lost that emotion from their older stuff that made them great for many.
I still am a fan and will be forever, but I think there is more than just a sound change with with people not liking it so much. I mean, lets be honest, Rain, Rain, Go Away! isnt a good Architects lyric and some vocals on the new album were pretty overproduced and kinda emotion-less for many people
