I love rancor battalion. But I skipped on these guys cause they’re on the older body. I’m glad jacen and Jaina are out. i’ve been reading the expanded universe and I’m more excited for them.

Good stuff. Agree with 95% here. This is great reuse and it’s miles better than holiday figures or weird rando video game clone repaints. Pretty frustrating though that even with major reuse they can’t get paint details more complete. It’s a matter of completion in many of these cases, not inaccuracy IMO.

I don’t care about the EU stuff but I know there is a market for some of that. I will stop short of calling it a “victory” because I am suspicious that the reason we seem to all of sudden be getting a lot of EU stuff is simply because it provides easy fodder for Hasbro to keep reusing the same molds to kitbash new characters.

That is not in and of itself a bad thing and is part and parcel with how major retail toy lines subsist. I get that.

Where it becomes a bad thing is if that practice continues with little to no reinvestment of the significant profit the reuse affords the manufacturer (Hasbro) into the line in the form of new character sculpts.

So I am in wait and see mode here before I call these things a “victory”. Let’s see if we finally get some cantina aliens, a Lobot, a pong krell, a boss Nass, etc. if that happens then I think Hasbro is doing the right thing and the reuse is being productive for all.

Part of my suspicion here is that from an OT perspective anyway (same for the PT to a lesser extent)we are to the point where new sculpts means secondary or tertiary characters because we have so many redos of the main casts. I’m not sold that Hasbro is going to go all in and give us these tertiary aliens that are unique and require significant new tooling. I hope they do, and to be fair they have done a bit more of that recently (sebulba, watto, etc). Need some of that attention given to the OT as well tho. At 14 years in that’s where the line needs to go to stay fresh IMO. I suspect we might see majority of “new sculpts” as just a lot of redos of main characters.
We’ll see what happens.

On Hasbro Pulse EU prices are so crazy especially with 3 pack way above retail, converted to US it's like buying a 4pack

That clone three pack is a pass for me. I like the characters, but those 2020 bodies and oversized helmets are a huge let down. But Jacen Solo hype 🔥💯

Great episode of FIO! Clones look great but not too crazy about Colt & Havoc. I do like the look of Blitz the best though. I'm fine with the packaging being standard galaxy packaging too. Hardcore and Dogma do look good though! Glad we're getting more named clones in the line. I'm getting excited about the Jaina & Jacen 2 pack despite only knowing the basics about them. I do love collecting Jedi! That set might be a pickup for me!

Very happy with all these announcements and leak. I love the three pack but I'd love to see something similar with generic troopers/named grunts. 2-3 clones from different regiments in a box together? Yes please.

Yeah there's only so upset I can get about paint details, especially on clones which I don't care about much. That being said I'm in on all these and the Umbara troopers whenever they release!

Question guys: Do you think Hasbro picks up your (and other’s) critiques on things like the paint on the hands of Dogma and the 2 pack and would make the paint correction before its mass produced and released?

I prefer and like the current black series box packaging over the nostalgia packaging.

At this point Pong Krell is 99% confirmed, It would be neat if we get another 2 pack with Jesse and Tup, maybe a single release Kix with both blasters and his backpack or why not? The official debut of umbarans in the BS. As Brandon said "great things to come"

I’m a bit bothered by the plain white feet on the Arc Troopers. Even though they didn’t sculpt a new foot with the added armor like TVC did, they at least on past Arc Troopers painted the foot in order to fake it having the extra armor. I’m worried about these three and commander doom all are missing the trim on the cama. Hope this isn’t how things are going forward. Great video!

Here in the U.K. the price for the clone battle pack is between £82-£86.Which comes out to be $110-115 for the set. If the pricing was straightforward across countries it would be around £60.

I like to keep packaging as uniform as possible so I would prefer not getting the nostalgic packaging

I ordered the Jaina/Jacen set, but I'm not overly excited for it. I love the characters, but I think they could've done a better job on the figures.

I'd love more characters from the books and comics, too. Just...if they're going to do them, research the specs and costumes, and do 'em right the first time. I can't believe they only corrected the height of the R2 units the end of '23. Glad they did, but it shouldn't have been a decade into the line.

I don't know what's happened to Star Wars collecting. I really feel like I'm on the outside for wanting more Jedi, aliens, droids, and supporting characters that AREN'T troop builders. And we need to let the old molds die. I can't believe that Clone Trooper 3-pack is based on the old bodies, anymore than I can believe Jaina isn't an all-new sculpt. I like the modern articulation for Black Series. I know it doesn't have the range of motion in some cases, but the chance of warping or snapping off the knees is a lot lower.

Prices are increasing and they're saddling us with old body molds. Crazy.

The lack of double trigger fingers on Rancor Battalion is just not acceptable in the big 26. I can forgive the 2020 buck reuse, but come on. Is throwing on the other trigger finger so hard?

If they can do a 3 pack of the Arcs then they can do the 4 commando squad packs. Give us Delta, Omega, Ion Team. Yayax squad etc.... all 4 in 1 box. please 😭
