I didn't like the way crowds of people move, sometimes it feels like they're floating in the air, it's like a bug when a crowd collides with an obstacle, they move like one crowd, and it's very unreal.

This footage is not as vibrant and pooping as the trailers they have already shown to us, I hope this is not PZ1 all over, I was so exited with that first trailer and then the game was a lot less quality than expected.

One thing that's noticeably absent immediately for me was animation on the fish's eyes. In real life fish look around constantly while they're swimming at a similar cadence to a chameleon, but the eyes on the fish - in fact everything about the fish except their fins - was incredibly stiff. I'd love to see them just take the time to add mouth and eye movement to the individual species (I'm not expecting it for the schools, which is fine IMO) because they look a bit lifeless at the moment.

I feel like at launch there needs to be at least 150 to 200 species anything less than that and I don’t see how you can build a zoo. Plus fingers crossed for larger DLC and free animal from Planet Zoo 1 that were part of DLC so you don’t have to pay for animals you already payed for.

I like that the moss rocks look a bit more subdued and natural. Also the lighting is insane!

Specs:
I know the game is still in development and there's still some time until release, but is it just me or does the tiger's gait look incredibly stiff? The animation of the muzzle, head, etc., is great, but the body itself isn't very fluid?

I like how when the tiger was walking you could see dust flying up underneath his feet and then there was footprints behind him. I saw a clip where the polar bear leaves footprints in the snow that's going to be sweet

The only thing that slightly bothers me is the way the toucan perches on branches. I appreciate it’s probably quite hard to animate but for realism the claws would be wrapped around the branch, rather than sitting on top of it using its claws almost like feet? It wouldn’t be able to hold its weight like that lol.

I know you do not stream in 4k Rudy, but it is not your fault, Frontier's official video also shows a lesser quality and look compared to the earlier trailers footage they have shown.
It is like the textures and lighting is totally off here. Others are saying that it is because of their recent change to include Windows 10 and lower end pcs to be able to play the game so they had to scale way down the wow factor. Hope this is not the case, because that would another city skylines bait and switch like they did with their trailer and then the game footage.
I hope we get urban settings for our zoos this time around.
@christophergove7897massive improvement in animal models, fur shader and behaviour.. however the Tiger limb looks weird during walk, the angle how limbs are bending and forming limb shape and angle needs to be more realistic. a bit of rigidity is noticeable.

@planetestefaniaI noticed in their video that when looking at the tiger, he said ‘the tigers’ then corrected himself and specified ‘the Sumatran tigers’. To me that suggests we’ll be getting another type of tiger as well. But I also may be looking into it too much 😂
@PhillipaMillarI was hoping for a JW3 waterfall system here, but for what I see, they keep using the same system we have in Planet Zoo 1.
@alejandroramirezgomez89661 problem tho. The turning of the tiger and the sunfish looks way to fast and doesnt obey the laws of physics at all.

@pittskyWhen they placed the gift shop there where TONS of animals “revealed”! There where panda bear plushies, red pandas masks, and lots more gifts of animals we haven’t seen yet. They also had a king penguin and a jaguar plushie in the studio in the background
@DavidGdelCWhy are we seeing a months old build? Why does the trailer look alot better than the game itself despite being in-game footage? Why after so so many years of complaints is the pop-in still so noticeable? alot of effort has been put into the water physics and animals interacting with said water yet they just phase through foliage?

Loved to see an extended look, I did notice a couple of issues: LOD's flickering, animal glitches (eg when tiger was moving he sometimes made abrupt movements or the paw glitched under the ground etc) and also when they were changing the height of an aviary pole their game froze for like 2 seconds. It was though beta footage, so I hope that will get fixed

Vorallem die Vögel und auch die Fische verhalten sich echt glaubwürdig. Würde gerne eine Kombi davon sehen, also vielleicht Vögel die auch Schwimmen können und mehr Interaktionen mit den Gästen. Bis zum Release ist ja aber auch noch Zeit 😁🥰
Cool, I imagine making your own multispecies aviary next year whenever planet zoo 2 has a new update coming with new animals and new structures and more we can build and add in our zoos.
