I’ll never forget listening to Ray Charles for first time it was the Blues Brothers movie. Hearing the shake your tail feathers from it then and learning the musical titans that graced the screen made my joy of musicals absolute. Got into playing music and I enjoy the beats forever it gives

Why Jamie didn’t win an Oscar for this incredible performance of the Legendary Ray Charles I’ll never understand. Please show me another biopic that comes close to this…I’ll wait. Maybe Jason Weaver playing the young Michael Jackson, but no one has ever done it like Jamie did Ray💯💪🏽

Jamie Foxx should have gotten 2 Oscars for his performance in "Ray" because 1 just isn't enough. It was almost like Ray was channeling himself through the guy.

Половина первого ночи, переслушиваю уже раз двадцатый - Рэй, твоя музыка живая, чистая радость!!!

@Александр-ъ6о5д

The scene where Jeff, Rays then manager, asks Ray if he’s ok then Ray has to tell Jeff to just “let the kids dance”, has a double duty in the film. The scene shows how Ray’s music was part of the music that was desegregating the country through togetherness and shows how Jeff didn’t just step up and take care of things. A need that Ray had and one that was reflected when he played with disc jockey Joe Adams, who would become Ray’s manager, and Joe knew without being told to dim the lights to quiet the crowd for Rays ballad.
