Enjoyed Sanremo, Bologna and what little I saw of Palermo. Rome is great but crowded as expected. Florence was disappointing last time I was there... getting dirty and too crowded. Heading to Lago di Garda in a couple months and will see Milano for the first time.

Hi Vincenzo, honestly, Pisa is much more than just the Piazza dei Miracoli (which alone is worth the trip). The city has some fantastic museums, such as the Museum of Ancient Ships, the San Matteo Museum, and the Royal Palace. The food is excellent whether you like meat, seafood, or traditional Pisan dishes—and the beer scene is great too, with one of Italy's first craft breweries, founded in 2003. On top of that, the medieval historic center reflects Pisa's importance as a powerful Maritime Republic. It's definitely not a city you can see in just an hour. I've lived here for twenty years, and I'm still discovering new things.

In my opinion, your ranking of Pisa was quite superficial...

Padova has wonderful art, Giottos at Scrovegni. Also good food and no tourists. The locals are therefore very kind.

Naples is dirty mess with homeless sleeping on materaces on main streets. Garbage everywhere. It's bad. I had pizza in many places -local old restaurants and city center spots and it was hit or miss. Best thing was pompei and vesuvio , city is a letdown.

I agree. But there is no need to avoid the tourist hot spots because they are also worth it. Italian towns are best enjoyed in the morning. Get up early and do your thing befor the crowds, pickpockets and scammers arrive. Thereafter you might hang out in some bar or pasticceria for a late breakfast or have some delicious street food at noon. There'll be plenty of daytime left for other things such as a nap at the hotel and a late dinner at a restaurant nearby.

Firenze is S tier, even in the busiest season. And way better than Bolognia that he gave the S tier too. Just way off on a lot of these

My favorite cities are Siena, Luca, Triest, Bolzano and Riva.
There is a large number of other nice cities I have visited. Pisa is great if you go into the student areas but the area of the tower has also something special because you have a huge crowd of happy people. Everybody get's his picture and everything just like expected or better. Nobody has to wait in a line. It works much better than the waiting lines in Florence for example. I saw "4h wait" signs at the line to get into the cathedral.

i will be visiting Venice end of this year, I will have three days in Venice. should i go to Bologna for a day? because I love old fairy tales, culture and energy.

You have to spend more than an hour in Pisa before speaking about it.

Bologna is interesting and good to reach for its airport, but can't be in S tier: too hot, smelly and crowded. Mostly bolognese people love it, but there are much better sights and experiences nearby.

Great video. I can only comment on cities I've been to in 2024. We went to Lake Como, Verona, Venice, Florence and Sienna. Loved all of them. If you do go to Venice and are handicapped, just be prepared, getting around can be a challenge. One place you should visit nearby Venice is Murano Island for the the glass blowing facility. It is wonderful. They will do wonder demonstrations for you. And Italian Murano hand blown glass is the finest I've ever seen. But it's heavily counterfeited. So, if possible and you are ordering the Murano hand blown glass, do not buy from any other source than Murano glass itself. What ever you buy on the internet has a good chance of being counterfeit. Esp if the price seems low for what you are getting. There are markers that can authenticate Murano glass. But those can be countfeited too. So buy directly if the piece is in your price range. It's worth it. They will ship to you directly.

It's easier to list where NOT to go in Italy.

I got to see Roma, Firenze and Venezia once.. Then I need to see the real Italia. I also really want to eat the real stuff. I live in Charlotte NC, the most Anti-Italian food and boring city on the planet Earth. IT is like the Anti-Italy, and I have some Italian in my soul and craving to go. I wanted to go this Summer, but the heat would probably make it a tough first trip experience. I';m wanting to go in early Spring or late Fall (if I can get the ability) to experience Napoli, Genova, Bologna , Palermo and the real heart of Italia and Sicilia.
