I am sorry... but double waved yellows means you must not only lift but actively slow down and be prepared to come to a complete stop! There was NO WAY that Russel would have been able to stop if there was something blocking the road just around the corner. He could not have known there there is or is not something in the road around the corner. Sure he lifted, but there is no way he slowed down sufficiently to ensure complete safety for ALL possible scenarios! His time should have been deleted at best. At worst a 5 slot grid penalty could have been applied for not slowing down sufficiently. So, one George Russel can no longer claim "bad luck". He got very lucky the last couple of races.

@TheMikeFloydHe lost a tenth because of the lift and was still 0.26 of a second faster? If it stands, as it appears to have done, thats a huge effort by George. Three way fight for the crown and none of them are Max or Lando. This is setting up to be one of the great f1 fights, again. Little disappointed not a peep out of the commentary team about Liams great drive in Q1.
